1. Jebel Jais

UAE’s highest peak, Jebel Jais, is part of the impressive Hajar mountains. Located in the  eastern regions of Ras Al Khaimah, the mountains reach a towering height of 1934 m above  sea level. Go to Jebel Jais for the breathtaking views and beautiful sunsets over the mountains.  It offers a lot in terms of activities as well. It boasts the longest Zipline in the world for people  who like adventure. The mountain also offers trekking & hike trails and there are designated  areas where you can camp out and enjoy a night beneath the stars.

2. Wadi Shawka

Wadi Shawka is also in Ras Al-Khaimah and is a great option for an exploration hike. You can

see natural springs, mountains and even greenery during winters. It can be a challenging route  but is worth it for the picturesque mountain vistas and the gorgeous views.

It makes for a great off-roading experience. The valleys, hills, rocks & springs make for an  adventurous drive. With open trails, you can drive uninterrupted into the sunset.

3. Hatta Mountains

Barely a two-hour drive from Dubai, Hatta is a good choice for a weekend getaway. In winter, it  is the go-to spot for hiking, biking, and kayaking in the teal blue waters.

Situated in the midst of the rugged Hajjar Mountains, adventure-seekers often visit Hatta for off road adventures through the mountains, canyons and to the beautiful Hatta Rock pool. For  people looking to have a more chill weekend, Hatta also features an authentic Arabic “heritage  village” and an ancient Juma mosque.
