August 2025 was clearly a tough month for the brand. Sales dropped sharply, with the domestic market down 27.7% compared to last year. The export market saw an even steeper decline, falling nearly 50% year over year.
Honda India sold 3,850 units in the domestic market this August. That’s a 27.71% drop compared to August 2024, when sales hit 5,326 units—a clear dip in year-on-year performance.
Honda’s export sales also took a sharp hit in August, with just 2,924 units shipped. That’s 2,893 fewer units than the 5,817 shipped in the same month last year.
Honda’s total car sales, combining domestic and export markets, dropped to 6,774 units in August. That’s a 39.22% decline compared to the 11,143 units sold in August 2024.
Looking at month-to-month performance, domestic sales dropped 4.94% compared to July. Export sales fell even more sharply, down 15.83%. Overall, combined sales took a hit of 9.97%.
