Mahindra’s domestic car sales took a 9% hit year-over-year in August. On the other hand, exports kept climbing, up 16% for the brand. When you combine both, the total came to 75,901 units, which is a drop compared to last month.
Mahindra’s passenger vehicle sales dropped to 39,399 units in August, down 9% from 43,277 units the previous year.
Meanwhile, the brand’s export numbers stood out, with 3,548 units shipped in August. That’s a solid increase from 3,060 units shipped during the same month last year.
From April to August in FY 2025-26, the brand’s domestic sales grew 15%, reaching 241,337 units compared to the same period last year. Exports showed even stronger growth, up 37% with 15,989 units shipped during that time.
Mahindra’s commercial vehicle sales in August showed a clear upward trend, rising 12% year over year. They sold 32,954 units compared to 29,454 in the same month last year.
Looking at month-on-month performance, the brand recorded a 9.31% drop. August doesn’t seem to be the strongest month for the year so far.
