The Kia Rio is a quality entrant in the bargain basement of the Australian car market, taking on the likes of the Toyota Yaris, Mazda2 and MG3.
While it lacks the sophistication of some of its rivals, it has always been good value and a decent drive.
That value equation keeps it competitive in its segment and helps make it an eminently justifiable buy, as does Kia's excellent seven-year/unlimited kilometre warranty.
