  • Things we don’t like

Nice dashboard design, looks appropriately modern. The dual-tone shade with brushed silver highlights and wood inserts brightens your mood, and the narrow long vents make the interiors appear larger than they are.

Audi's virtual cockpit is among the sleekest systems in the class.

Space is ample, and seats are comfortable, making the SUV ideal for long journeys.

Outstanding Bose music player.

The diesel engine offers excellent performance. The Q7 is absolutely effortless to drive on highways.

The diesel engine also retains pretty good fuel economy. A lot of that credit should go to the sleek 8-speed automatic gearbox, which always keeps you in the right gear.

The linear power delivery, and good low-end punch, makes driving in the city a breeze. Light controls and commanding views help the cause too.

Air suspension models provide a cushy ride at low speeds, and you can always alter the settings to your taste. Cabin insulation is top-notch.

Consumers would appreciate a better low-end punch and refinement from the petrol motor.

The steering feels artificial; it lacks essential feel and feedback.

The third-row seats are hardly usable. They also compromise the boot space.

The model’s understated styling gets lost in parking lots. Moreover, the Q7 looks more like a station wagon than a full-size seven-seater SUV.

The ride quality, even in the firmest setting, is quite supple. While this attribute helps in the city, it causes a constant movement at highway speeds.

Audi Q7 2020 EXPERT REVIEWS

The second-generation Audi Q7 is a flexible mid-size luxury SUV that combines a well-appointed cabin with a joyful driving experience in one attractive package.

While the understated exterior styling may split opinions, you do see the best of Audi on the interior. The ambience within the Q7’s cabin makes for a pleasant cabin experience. The dual-tone shade with brushed silver highlights and wood inserts brightens your mood, and the narrow long vents make the interiors appear spacious.

The seats are supremely comfortable and, combined with the significant cabin space, make the SUV ideal for long journeys. There is a third row of seats too, which comes on the compromise of boot space.

Music enthusiasts will delight in the lovely sounding Bose music player. The soft suspension setup, top-notch cabin insulation, and effortless diesel motor make for a comfortable driving experience.

Compared to other luxury SUVs in the same price point, the Q7 stands above the rest with its sheer combination of comfort and performance. Ride quality at slow speeds is outstanding. Moreover, the creamy diesel engine is effortless to drive.

Audi offers the Q7 with both petrol and diesel engine options. There is a hint of reluctance in this 2.0-litre petrol Q7 in pulling the 2.0 tonne SUV from a standstill. However, a nice linear surge of power presents itself as soon as the turbo spools up at around 1900 rpm.

Meanwhile, the 3.0-litre diesel engine, with its 600 Nm of torque, is effortless to drive. You will enjoy driving it on Indian roads, as there is a strong surge of performance available at almost all rpm ranges.

Both engines are connected to the Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Various modes are available that also alter how the engine, gearbox, suspension, and steering behave. The supple ride quality in the firmest setting is perfect for driving in the city. When it comes to the Q7’s steering, it felt light and effortless, but needs more feel. The Q7s fuel efficiency ranges from 11.68 to 14.75 kmpl.

In more ways than one, the Audi Q7 is a significant vehicle. The Q7 is an ideal vehicle if you are looking for a large family SUV with premium cabin space, smooth engines, and a plush ride. The Audi is a pleasant place to spend time, with quality materials and numerous creature comforts.
