Audi R8 PRO’s & CON’s

  • Things We Like
  • Things we don’t like

The 7-speed gearbox is lightning quick in shifting gears. It gives you a sense of power and control while driving the charming R8.

Supercar R8 maintains a balance between utility and its sharper looks. The car lets you have fun on the road but when you feel like relaxing, it changes to comfort mode by becoming civilized.

Audi R8 takes the sharp corners head-on, all thanks to the exceptional rigidity of the body structure.

Talking about the rigidity, the new aluminum chassis with carbon fiber-reinforced plastics reduces its weight by 15 percent and thus, increases rigidity by 40 percent.

The adjustable dampers keep the car stable at all speeds. This makes it quite comfortable to be inside the car for long hours.

The ground clearance of the R8 is impressive for a car in this segment. It gives you enough confidence to tread through the patchy roads without scraping its belly.

The car can only accommodate two people, while its competitors can accommodate up to four people.

Even though Audi R8 is user-friendly, many people feel that it's not practical to buy a supercar in India.

The price is another big factor that can put some constraint on the buyer's mind. Spending crores on a luxury car that you might hesitate to take out frequently is a big downer.

Handling can get tricky sometimes since the R8 has a tendency to understeer.

Lastly, rides can get uncomfortable in sports mode.

Audi R8 is a fabulous car that can instantly make you fall in love with it. The new and improved variant of the R8 reacts faster and feels sportier to drive. It can possess the driver and make them feel immortal on the roads.

You can throw this car around as you experiment with the sports mode. It will impress you while holding to the balance as it offers the thrill factor to the ride. It is the dream car of people who like driving on the curvy roads of the hills and highways.

The interior of the car has a minimalistic touch. The cabin is neatly structured with the right amount of chrome highlights and carbon fiber splashes and dashes. The seat cushioning is a bit stiff, which can feel like sitting on a chair in the class, but when looked at in conjunction with the rigid body structure of the R8, it holds up well.

However, the sports car can feel a bit out of place on Indian roads. Our roads still have a long way to go in order to make it suitable for the Audi R8. The stiff seats do not filter the bumps on the road, and thus you can feel every bit of it as you go on a ride in the R8.

Finally, the ride quality of the R8 settles as it picks up speed. Thus, the Audi R8 manages the overall performance quite well.
