Haval Vision 2025

Rs: 20.00 Lakh

When Great Wall Motors unveiled the Haval SUV lineup in India at the Auto Expo 2020, no one expected the lineup to gain the kind of popularity it already has. The Vision 2025 was one of the most outstanding SUV offerings from Haval and is expected to come with a plethora of features and specifications that will give it an edge over the competition in the market right now. For starters, the upcoming Vision 2025 was showcased with an AR-HUD or Augmented Reality Heads-Up Display that will turn the windshield into a touchscreen for navigation purposes. Some of the other features included with the Haval Vision 2025 include 5G connectivity, facial recognition, automatic driving modes, auto summon, auto park, and an option to shop while driving. One of the standout features of the Vision 2025 is the 3D car locating feature that helps you find your car is a congested area with a push of a button. The engine specifications have not yet been released by GWM but we can expect a little more information as the launch date draws closer.

Nissan X-Trail

Rs: 22.60 Lakh

Known as the Nissan Rogue in the US, the X-Trail is expected to be launched in India in December 2019. This is the third-gen SUV model which was first showcased back in 2016 at the Indian Auto Expo. While there seem to be a number of upgrades and changes, the majority of it looks to be in its exteriors. The bumper, headlamps, grille, and hood get a complete redesign while a large air duct sits below the grille and between the two fog lights. In the rear, the car has new horizontally placed taillights and a new bumper as well. The X-Trail, when launched in India, will come with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine along with an electric motor that features an automatic CVT or Continuously Variable Transmission. The interiors of the car also get a major upgrade with a touchscreen infotainment system, new AC vents, and a sleek digital dashboard. Although the X-Trail was launched with Nissan’s ProPilot autonomous driving feature, it is unlikely that the Indian model will come with it when launched. The X-Trail is definitely one of the best upcoming SUVs and could get a lot of people readying their RC transfer papers to try and get their hands on the vehicle once it is launched in the country.

Although the new Grand Vitara is designed around the iV-4 concept that was unveiled back in 2013, the finished product looks quite similar to the previous Grand Vitara. Under the hood, the European Grand Vitara houses a 4-cylinder 1.6L petrol engine that is capable of generating 120Ps of power. There is also a 1.6L diesel engine option that can produce 320Ps of power. While the upcoming Sportage is in its fourth generation from KIA, the model is yet to make its way to India. Fortunately, though, we believe that the latest model will make its way over given the fact that the SUV segment is truly flourishing in the country. Also, the KIA Seltos has been doing extremely well in India and is growing in popularity every day. This might push KIA to launch the Sportage in the country as well. Rs: 30.00 Lakh

Last year, Jeep announced its plans to introduce a number of newer models in the coming years for the Indian market, one of which included a 7-seater SUV. Although not much is known about the upcoming model, the company launched a similar car in the Chinese market called the Grand Commander and we can expect a number of features and specifications to carry over to the Indian-based variants as well. What we can also expect are the powertrain options to be similar to what is already available including the 2.0L diesel engine found on the Compass as well as the 2.0L petrol engine housed in the new Wrangler. The diesel variant will come with either a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic transmission whereas the petrol variant should carry a 9-speed automatic gearbox. In terms of looks, we don’t really know what this 7-seater will look like, but we can be sure of 1 thing – it will have 3 rows of seats which means it will be big. If you have a big family and are looking to get your hands on this vehicle, you might want to use a used car evaluation tool to help you sell your current car for a better price.
