The Swift DZire sports a dashboard construction almost same as the standard Swift. While the overall layout is the same, the AC vents and the control knobs get a much different shape. Another notable difference is the faux wood accent on the steering which the standard Swift does not get. Like the current model, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will also be sharing a dashboard layout identical to the Swift and Swift DZire. You can expect that there will be some mild changes in the placement of buttons and gear knob design. It is also reported that the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will get a completely different head unit from the DZire. How different still remains to be seen. However, you can expect to see a touchscreen infotainment unit on the higher variants. The seat upholstery will also be distinguishably contrasting compared to the Swift and Swift DZire.

Apart from just the dashboard, the new Ertiga will be getting a host of updates. For starters, the car’s proportions itself are going to be different. The spy pictures reveal that the new Ertiga will have more space in the 3rd row for occupants. This increased area could indicate an increase in the luggage area as well. The current Ertiga has two engine options, a 1.3-litre diesel engine and a 1.4-litre petrol. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will also be carrying the same options. While Maruti Suzuki is working on a new 1.5-litre diesel, the new Ertiga might not be getting that as of now. It is expected that the 2018 Ertiga will be launched in the month of July this year itself.
