Honda Cars India has launched the 2020 edition of the WR-V at a starting price of Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The refreshed model comes with a handful of cosmetic updates and upgraded engines that comply with the BSVI emission norms. The new model takes on full-fledged crossovers like the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon. The updated WR-V is the first of the three Honda models that the company has planned for this year.

2020 Honda WR-V Features and Styling Changes

The remaining two cars include the BSVI Honda Civic Diesel and the all-new Honda City. The updated 2020 Honda WR-V comes with a new chrome-plated grille that is flanked by updated LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. Even the fog lamps are new and similar to the front-end, the rear-end carries some minor updates in the form of new LED taillamps and an LED high-mount stop lamp. The car also comes with some styling add-ons like shark fin antenna, silver-finished roof rails and 16-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside, the 2020 Honda WR-V comes with many features, such as height-adjustable driver seat, 7-inch touchscreen AVN system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, automatic AC with touchscreen control panel, multi-information combination meter with LCD display, and multi-function steering wheel with HFT, cruise control and electric sunroof. All variants come with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, front seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert, speed-sensing door-lock, crash-sensing door-unlock and ISOFIX child seat restraints.

2020 Honda WR-V Specifications

The 2020 Honda WR-V is available with two engine options. The former is a BSVI-compliant 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, iVTEC petrol engine that outputs 90 PS and 110 Nm. Transmission options for this powerplant earlier included a 5-speed manual and a CVT. Now, however, it’s being sold only with the manual option. The other option is that of a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 100 PS and 200 Nm. The motor comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

2020 Honda WR-V Mileage and Dimensions

The 2020 Honda WR-V offers a claimed mileage of 16.5 kmpl from the petrol variant and 23.7 kmpl from the diesel model. It measures 3,999mm in length, 1,734mm in width and 1,601mm in height. The wheelbase of the updated model measures 2,555mm, while the fuel tank and boot has capacities of 40-litre and 363-litre, respectively.
