Isuzu Motors unveiled the all-new D-Max, the pick-up-truck has undergo a complete design change for the first time in 8 years. The pickup truck sold in the South East Asian markets including India and Thailand has been a best-seller for almost a decade.
The Isuzu D-Max and the V-Cross are currently one amongst the highest selling pickup trucks in India. The pickup truck culture has slowly picked up over the years with increasing buyers for these in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, and the hilly regions like Himachal, Uttarakhand.
The all-new 2019 D-Max has a longer wheelbase than the ones currently available in India. Isuzu claims the newly launched version is more fuel-efficient and produces less CO2 emissions than its predecessor.
While Isuzu has retained the genes of the V-Cross with the stunning off-road look, the car gets bi-led projectors headlights combined with stylish signature lamps giving it an eager and intense look. The rear of the car gets a dual-LED tail lamp with an integrated step bumper.
The interior of the D-Max is quite stunning compared to the old ones. The centre piece of the dashboard comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with navigation, Apple Car Play, and Android Auto. The circular climate control system which was a turn-off in the older versions has been replaced with a dual-zone climate control system. The car also gets a keyless entry system with a new digital MID that is placed between the speedometer and the rpm meter.
The new Isuzu D-Max is available with 1.9 litre diesel engine (Same as one in Indian variant) and a powerful 3.0 litre diesel which produces 190 bhp with 450Nm of torque. The new car is available is both 4wd and 2wd options (rear wheel) with 6-speed manual/ automatic gearbox. The D-Max has been in India since 2016 but the India launch of the latest version is yet to be decided by Isuzu.
