Maruti Suzuki launched the all-new 2022 Brezza for the Indian market on June 30th! The much-awaited compact SUV was one we were all looking out for, especially over the past couple of days! Maruti has been amping up the hype for what it calls the “all-new hot and techy Brezza,” even opening up bookings prior to the launch.
The biggest updates for the Brezza comes in the form of new equipment that makes it one of the best equipped compact SUVs. New equipment aside the updated Brezza has been given a complete design makeover both inside and outside. Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Brezza with prices starting at Rs. 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and going up to Rs. 13.69 lakh for the top variant.
The all-new Brezza comes with a 1.5 litre K-series petrol engine, benefiting from Dual VVT and Dualjet technology. The mild-hybrid tech equipped engine claims to produce 103bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 137Nm torque at 4,400rpm. It also claims to provide a fuel efficiency of 20.15 kmpl for the manual versions and a mileage of 19.80km/l for the automatic models.
The compact SUV comes with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission option. It is available in 10 variants.
The new SUV is available in 3 dual-tone colour options and 6 single-tone color schemes, namely the Arctic White, Exuberant Blue, Sizzling Red, Splendid Silver, Magma Grey, and Brave Khakhi. The dual-tone colour options include Sizzling Red with Midnight Black roof, Brave Khakhi with Arctic White roof, and Splendid Silver with Midnight Black roof.
Exterior: The compact SUV gets a brand-first electric sunroof, an all-new grille with a new projector headlamp design with LED DRLs, fog lamps, dual-tone front bumper, black body cladding, new geometric alloy wheels, and a redesigned rear fascia, with a dual-tone bumper and rear washer/wiper.
Maruti Suzuki is offering two accessory packages with the new 2022 Maruti Brezza – Terrascape and Metroscape. Customers can customize their new Brezza with these accessory themes as well as a wide range of Genuine Accessories listed on the Maruti Suzuki Genuine Accessories website.
The Terrascape theme has been designed for “customers with a taste for adventure”. It is on the rugged side for exterior styling options including front and rear bumper garnish, side cladding, faux rear skid plate, rear upper spoiler extender, and more. The Metroscape package is “for those customers seeking a sporty design”. It has front and rear bumper garnish, fog lamp garnish, body side moulding, window frame kit, and wheel arch garnish.
Interior: The 2022 Brezza gets a full surround sound system, a TFT MID Display, a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera set-up, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, Heads Up Display, and wireless charging. It also gets Suzuki Connect, smartwatch connectivity, vehicle tracking, and Alexa remote capability. Other fantastic offerings are a flat-bottomed steering wheel, dual-tone silver and brown finish dashboard, cooled glove box, and rear AC vents.
Safety: The 2022 Brezza comes with 6 airbags, ESP, and Hill Hold Assist. It gets 20+ safety features, including reverse parking sensors and a high-speed alert system, among others.

Bookings are now open for the all-new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza for a token amount of Rs. 11,000. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director, Maruti Suzuki India announced that the Brezza has already gotten over 45,000 bookings till now.
For those interested, Maruti Suzuki India is also offering the 2022 Brezza SUV on a monthly subscription basis. The subscription rental can be availed at Rs 18,300 per month.
It is expected to rival the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonnet, and Nissan Magnite.
