All-New Hyundai i20 Launching in India Tomorrow

Last-minute preparations must be in full swing at Hyundai Motor India’s HQ as the country’s second-largest automaker gets ready to launch the all-new i20 tomorrow. The spiritual successor to the very popular Elite i20, this third-generation model has garnered many eyeballs from prospective buyers. It has seemingly got all the right recipes behind its birth and is poised to take the premium-ish hatchback segment by storm. The Korean auto marque began accepting bookings for the all-new i20 sometime back, with the amount set at Rs 21,000. You can still place your order for the car either by visiting an authorized Hyundai dealership or through the brand’s official website.

Just as with its precursor, the all-new Hyundai i20 will also come with a diesel heart. The unit in question is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged mill from the Venue. It comes paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and whips out 99hp and 240Nm of torque. There will also be two petrol engines on offer. One will be a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-popper with 118hp and 172Nm on tap, whilst the base motor is a 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated four-banger that makes 82hp and 114Nm of twist. As expected, Hyundai will offer the all-new i20 with plenty of gearbox options to pick from. These include a 5-speed and 6-speed manual, along with a 6-speed clutchless transmission, a CVT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
