The all-new Hyundai i20 is now just mere days away from being launched nationwide. Still, fresh insights about the premium hatchback keep pouring in. This time around, the news is about the inclusion of a sunroof in the i20. Yes, the Hyundai i20 will come with an electrically-operated sunroof. However, do note that this fancy ‘I can now see the stars in the sky’ option will only be available in the top Asta variant. While many buyers in this segment love the idea of having a sunroof, Hyundai isn’t the first to offer it in India. Honda beat Hyundai to the sunroof game when they equipped the new BS6-compliant Jazz in August this year. Anyway, buyers who really want the feature can now seriously consider the all-new i20 as well.
Irrespective, the all-new Hyundai i20 is going to be bristling with features – it also looks quite chic. Its large but angular headlamps get their own distinct LED DRLs over other Hyundai cars, while the huge front grille sports the brand’s famous ‘cascading’ design. The whole hatchback has been styled based on Hyundai’s new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ philosophy, and it sure is an eye-catching so and so. The wide but sporty-looking front bumper merges cleanly with the front fenders, while a sharp character line extends all the way back to just forward of the C-pillar. Its diamond-cut alloy rims looks fancy and sharp, as the side skirts and a sloping roofline to the new i20s flare and flamboyance.
The rear of the all-new Hyundai i20 features really suave tail lamps with their individualistic Z-shaped LED running lights. Meanwhile, a strip of chrome and some black plastic trim bits make the liftgate seem sporty and vibrant. Hyundai has also included a sharply-contoured rear bumper and an air diffuser to the new i20. On the equipment front, this new-generation Hyundai i20 comes loaded with many bells & whistles.
The most interesting ones include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, wireless charging pad, ambient LED mood lighting, cruise control, digital display for the driver’s instrument gauges, and a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel. Safety kit on the all-new i20 include all the usual stuff such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, and rear parking sensors.
