Around a week back, Audi India released the first official teaser of its upcoming flagship SUV – the Audi RS Q8, which is nothing but a performance-focused variant of the Audi Q8. The new model will launch on August 27 and bookings for it are already underway at a token amount of Rs 15 lakh. However, ahead of the launch, the first batch of the car has been delivered to the dealerships.
Seen on this page are pictures of the Audi RS Q8 that has been spied parked at an official dealership. The spied unit has Navarra Blue paint and it must be noted here that the new model will be even available in a range of other colours. The same will be revealed on the day of launch. For now, the company has shown a ‘Coming Soon’ image on its official website for the Audi RS Q8 page.
The Audi RS Q8 is the most potent SUV in the Ingolstadt-based luxury car marque’s lineup. It is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that outputs a maximum power of 600 hp and a peak torque of 800 Nm. The motor sends all that power to all four wheels through the company’s highly successful Quattro all-wheel-drive system via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Compared to the regular Audi Q8 SUV, the RS version of the company’s most expensive SUV comes with many mechanical as well as visual upgrades that make it a more lucrative proposition. If company claims are to be believed, the Audi RS Q8 can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. The performance-focused SUV is capable of hitting a top speed of 250 kmph. Also, the SUV can be upgraded with an optional dynamic pack 304 kmph.
As we said, other than the mechanical updates, the Audi RS Q8 comes with a host of styling updates. The SUV gets an updated Singleframe grille, a larger front air intake, custom side sills, an RS roof spoiler, and a rear diffuser. The SUV will likely come with 22-inch alloy wheels as standard and 23-inch alloy wheels as optional.

Given the fact that the regular Audi Q8 has an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.34 crore, the RS Q8 will cost at least Rs 2 crore, all thanks to the various upgrades it carries over the regular model. In India, the Audi RS Q8 will rival the likes of Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe and Lamborghini Urus. Stay tuned for prices and more details of the new model.
