The 200cc bikes are developed with performance in mind. These bikes have large 200cc engines which are mostly single cylinder in configuration and develops power ranging from modest 17 bhp to explosive 25 bhp. The main factor is the ride and the dynamics which a bike offers. Off course, fuel efficiency also matters in this segment but it is not the topmost priority among the riders who go with the bikes in the 200cc segment.

On one side, where 150-180cc bikes were more inclined towards fuel efficiency and practicality, this segment’s topmost priority is the performance, styling and fun. The fuel economy is an extra bonus for the riders. The 200cc bikes offer greater performance owing to a higher power to weight ratio, better components and cycle parts. Not only these, but the features on 200c bikes also are away more than we have seen in the 150-180cc bikes. You will see the expensive and precise equipment like Upside-down Forks and a Fully digital instrument cluster with a plethora of information.

In this list, the 200cc bikes belong to various categories which include streetfighter, roadster, off-roading, cruising, sports and track-focused machine. The higher the engine capacity, the higher is the requirement for safety. Therefore, the manufacturers take this their responsibility to offer safe bikes in 200cc segment. Speaking about the ABS, most bikes still get a single channel unit in a bid to keep the cost in check. The price range of 200cc bikes starts from Rs 1.13 lakh and goes all the way to Rs 2 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi.

Check out the best 200cc bikes in India in 2020-21.

Hero Xpulse 200

Let’s start his list of best 200cc bikes with Hero Xpulse 200 as it is the most affordable bike in the segment. Hero Xpulse is an off-road adventure bike which was launched in India in 2019 after years of speculations and anticipations. The bike is an excellent example of Hero MotoCorp’s engineering in the off-roading biking department. Hero Xpulse is an adventure-ready motorcycle which you can take into the unknown without worrying about the terrain as Xpulse 200 has the highest ground clearance of 220mm. No bump or pit will bother you in your way.

Hero Xpulse 200 - Best 200cc Bikes in India 2020

One important thing that plays a significant role in adventure bikes is a long-travel suspension. The hero has put a 190 mm travel telescopic forks at the front end. The rear suspension is not short either with 170 mm travel. These suspensions can help you do a lot of off-roading even if you are a beginner in the adventure category.

Next important spot is taken the tyres, in the Hero Xpulse you get large 21 inches spoked at the front which is covered with 90/90 section dual-purpose tyre. The rear wheel is an 18-inch unit which also gets dual-purpose tyres but with a wider cross-section of 120/80. These dual-purpose tyres are tube type in nature and are prone to punctures. Therefore, you have to take puncture repair kit along with you if you are planning to take on the highways alone. The tyres are from Ceat which is well known for developing grippy tyres for off-roading.

The engine is protected by a strong aluminium bash plate that comes installed on the bike as standard equipment. Braking duties are performed by 276 mm disc brake at the front and 220 mm disc at the rear with single-channel ABS on offer.

Coming to the engine department, Hero has plonked an oil-cooled, 199.6cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine with 2-valve head. This motor, in the BS6 state of tune, churns out a maximum power of 17.8 bhp at 8500 rpm and a peak twisting force of 16.45 Nm that arrives at 6500 rpm. This engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox with a short final drive for providing high torque at the rear wheel.

Speaking about the performance, Xpulse can do a 0 to 100 kmph in about 14 seconds and top speed hovers around 115 kmph. For highway touring, the best speed for cruising is around 80-90 kmph. The oil-cooled engine helps in keeping the engine cool while you munch on the miles.

Off-roading is no fun without proper ergonomics. The seat is flatter than regular bikes with good moving space for the ride. The riding posture is upright with raised handlebars. You also geta long visor to protect you from the high-speed windblast. The seat height is 823 mm which seem high but is not so as the seat is narrow in design as most adventure bikes possess, helping shorter riders to access the bike with ease.

The claimed mileage of Hero Xpulse is around 40 km per litre but on the highways and while doing off-roading, the fuel economy is expected to drop to around 35 km per litre. The fuel tank capacity is pegged at 13 litres which can let you ride the Xpulse for more than 480 km in a single tankful.

A fully-digital instrument cluster is equipped in the Xpulse 200 which has Bluetooth connectivity. You get a speedometer, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge and other tell-tale lights. The Bluetooth connectivity feature allow you to get your phone’s notifications on the dash and turn by turn navigation makes your journey easy.

There is an option of Rally Kit that you can buy for Rs 38,000 over the price of the bike. It has all the essentials that is required for hard-core off-roading on Xpulse 200. Rally kit has longer travel suspension with 250mm travel for the telescopic fork and 220 mm travel for the rear monoshock suspension. The ground clearance increases to 275 mm and so the seat height. The rider now sits at 878 mm which is on the higher side even for tall riders.

In the rally kit, you will find flatter seat which is also longer by 110 mm and raised handlebars for easy riding while standing up on the footpegs. The tyres now come from Maxxis brand with Cross C1 off-roading tyres. Tyre size is changed to 80/100-21 for the front and 100/100-18 for the rear. Apart from all these, there is a longer side stan and longer gear shift lever for added convenience.

All in all, Hero Xpulse 200 is an amazing adventure tourer motorcycle priced under Rs 1.5 lakh making it the most affordable off-roading bike in the country.

Hero Xtreme 200S

After the adventure bike, Hero also offers a sports tourer in the 200cc segment. Hero Xtreme 200S is now launched in India with an upgrade BS6 engine. The bike does not get any other changes to its design of equipment list in the new BS6 avatar rather it is the same old bike. There is bad news for the riders who were waiting for Hero to launch the Xtreme 200S in India and it is, the bike has lost both power and torque after the BS6 update.

Hero Xtreme 200S - Best 200cc Bikes in India 2020

Powering the Hero Xtreme 200S is same 199.6cc engine which now gets Hero’s programmed fuel injection system with 14 sensor Xsens technology. The air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a 2-valve head now pumps out 17.8 bhp at 8500 rpm and the max torque is reduced to 16.45 Nm which arrives at 6500 rpm. The previous iteration of the bike had better power and torque figures which are now reduced and may affect the performance of the bike.

The transmission is taken care of by a 5-speed gearbox which is a bad deal for highway touring. The performance of Xtreme 200S is regarded as average when compared to other 200cc bikes in the segment. The bike accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in about 12 seconds and goes up to a top speed of 115 kmph. The short 5th gear and the lack of a 6th cog is the reason why the top speed is so less for a 200cc bike.

The fuel efficiency of the Xtreme 200S has rated around 38-40 km per litre which is fine a 200cc bike. A fuel tank capacity of 12.8 litres will let you ride on the highways for about 480 km before needing to be refuelled.

Speaking about the features, the Xtreme 200S comes with many of modern equipment. An instrument cluster is a fully-digital unit which offers an array of information and also provides Bluetooth connectivity with your smartphone. The speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meters and fuel gauge are usually available in other bikes as well but what Xtreme 200S offers is a gear position indicator, side stands down engine immobiliser, Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone notifications, turn by turn navigation and more. What we seek is added information about fuel consumption and distance to empty readout on the meter to complete the dash.

The bike sits on 100 and 130 section tyres at the front and the rear which offers an adequate grip for city and highway performance. The suspension system, on the other hand, is comprised of telescopic forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. This setup is tuned for a comfortable ride and also provides good stability to the bike.

Braking performance comes from the 276 mm disc at the front and 220 mm disc at the rear gripped by 2-piston and one-piston Bybre calliper at the front and the rear respectively. A single-channel ABS is available as standard which should have been a dual-channel unit. Hero should launch a new variant of the Xtreme 200S with dual-channel ABS for enhanced rider safety in the highways.

Hero Xtreme 200S offers comfortable riding posture with added windscreen visor for protection from the high-speed windblast. All these equipment favours it to be a capable sports tourer at an affordable price. The bike comes with a price tag of Rs 1.25 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi.

Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise

If you are looking for a comfortable highway cruiser, then you have the best cruiser in town in the form of Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220. It is the only cruiser in this segment which can go long distances without breaking your spine. The Avenger 220 carries the same design as we have already seen on the Avenger 160. However, there are many changes done to the bike as it gets cruising friendly handlebars, fully-digital instrument panel, large windscreen visor which provides full protection from high-speed windblast.

Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise - Best 200cc Bikes in India 2020

The front positioned footpegs and low seat high with raised handlebars provide a relaxed riding posture. This way, you can ride for hundreds of kilometres without taking a break. ON top of t, the bike delivers a fuel economy of around 35 km per litre which will take you to more than 480 km in a single tankful.

The Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise is powered by an oil-cooled, 220cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine which comes with a 2-valve head. This powerplant is capable of developing maximum power of 18.76 bhp at 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 17.55 Nm comes at 7000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox which is specifically tuned for highway cruising. With the above-mentioned power figure, you can easily cruise at 100 kmph all day long without overheating the engine and without pain in your spine.

In the features department, the bike comes loaded with a fully-digital instrument cluster that shows all the important information like Speed, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge and a digital clock. However, being a cruiser motorcycle, the bike missed out on several features that should have been made available in the BS6 version. These extra features that we need on the Avenger 220 are real-time fuel consumption, average fuel consumption and distance to empty. The icing on the cake would be Bluetooth connectivity with turn by turn navigation.

There is a pair of telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers which handles the suspension duties on the Avenger 220. The suspension is well balanced to offer a comfortable ride and high-speed stability on the highways. Braking is one area where this bike lacks, there is only front disc brake assisted by single-channel ABS. Bajaj should have offered a dual-disc version with dual-channel ABS for added safety for the rider.

TVS Apache 200 4V

Up next, we present you the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V streetfighter motorcycle in the 200cc segment. It is a multi-purpose bike as you can do street riding, highway riding as well as track racing on this bike. It is also a more versatile machine for daily commuting as well. It gets the best suspension for tackling the potholes filled roads and also provides high-speed stability on the highways and around the corners.

TVS Apache 200 4V - Best 200cc Bikes in India 2020

The Apache RTR 200 4V is propelled by an oil-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 197.75cc engine that comes with a 4-valve head for better engine breathing. This powerplant pumps out a max power of 20.21 bhp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 16.8 Nm which arrives at 7500 rpm. The engine is connected to a 5-speed gearbox which has shorter gear ratios to offer highest acceleration numbers.

The BS6 update caused the engine power to reduce and the torque is significantly affected with a drop of 1.3 Nm. Previously the bike’s engine developed a peak torque of 18.1 Nm and which now fell to 16.8 Nm. We expect the 0-100 kmph acceleration timing would increase by a small margin, However, the top speed of the RTR 200 4V remains the same at 127 kmph.

The riding position of Apache is mostly upright with a slight lean for a sporty feel. The split seats are well-padded and provide adequate comfort if you take the bike for a long ride. Apache RTR 200 4V is good for city and highways as we already mentioned about this bike being a versatile machine.

The features department is where this bike excels. You get a fully digital instrument panel with a plethora of information on offer along with Bluetooth connectivity. You get a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, top speed recorder, 0-60 kmph time recorder, digital clock, gear position indicator and more. You also get Bluetooth connectivity feature with the new console which provide you with nerdy details about your trips and rides. The smartphone app delivers all these details with a single click.

Just recently the Chennai based company has launched a new flagship version of the Apache RTR 200 4V. This new variant has three different ride modes – Urban, Rain and Sport. The urban model reduces the top speed and engine delivers power according to city usability. The ABS system offers a quicker response in this mode. The rain mode keeps the power delivery in check and makes sure that ABS intervention is highest when the rain mode is selected. This way you can keep yourself safe while riding on the wet roads.

The Sport mode, on the other hand, increases the power level and ECU makes sure the ABS intervention is minimum which helps in a new rider to learn how to efficiently and safely ride on the race circuit with sharps corners. There is a separate button through which you can change the riding mode on the fly. You don’t have to switch off the engine to change the riding mode, all you have to do is press the button and change the riding mode on the go as and when you like it.

Also, you get pre-load adjustable Showa telescopic forks at the front that is a unique feature in the entire segment. The rear suspension continues to be a monoshock unit that hasn’t touched by the engineers.

Now, everyone can ride the new Apache RTR 200 4V as it gets adjustable front brake and clutch levers. With this new variant, the Apache now has a total of three variant. The most affordable is the one with single-channel ABS, second, we have a variant with normal dual-channel ABS and lastly, we have this newly launched variant where you get three riding modes. Price of the bike starts from Rs 1,23,000 ex-showroom with top of the line variant costing at Rs 1.31 lakh ex-showroom.

Bajaj Pulsar 220F

Which is the first motorcycle to kickstart the performance bikes segment in India? Yes, you are right, it was the Bajaj Pulsar 220F which made every other manufacture to divulge into the performance bikes segment with 200cc or bigger engine. But before Pulsar, we had Hero Karizma which was launched way back in the early 2000s. However, it was not an outright performance bike but more of a sports tourer.

Bajaj Pulsar 220F - Best 200cc Bikes in India 2020

Bajaj Pulsar 220F was the second variant as the first variant had a fuel injection system sourced from Delphi. The performance of the bike was not up to the mark. The Pune based automaker decided to go with a large carburettor which increased the power output and real-world performance received a big boost. Back then, the big was sold with the moniker “The Fastest Indian.”

At the core of Bajaj Pulsar 220F is an oil-cooled, 220cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine with a 2-valve head. This motor in BS6 avatar now churns out 20.11 bhp at 8500 rpm with a peak torque output of 18.55 Nm which arrives at 7000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox and the whole powertrain continues to remain the same since it was first launched in the year 2007.

The BS6 engine saw a reduction in power and torque figures which may affect the bike’s real-world performance. Expect the Pulsar 220F to hit 100 kmph from standstill in about 12 seconds and the top speed is estimated to be around speedo-indicated 145 kmph.

The bike weighs in at massive 160 kg which reduced its power to weight ratio from the older BS3 version weighing just 152 kg. The performance this bike delivers is still explosive enough to raise the heartbeats of its fans who have dreamt about this bike for many years. The sales of Bajaj Pulsar 220F hovers around 7000 units every month which is a bit surprising looking at the old technology and outdated design.

When you sit on the saddle, you are welcomed by a semi-digital instrument cluster which gets an analogue tachometer and rest of the information can be found on the LCD screen. The digital screen delivers info on speed, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge and other tell-tale lights. There is no additional customer luring and utility information on the dash which is the need of the hour.

A pair of 41 mm telescopic forks and gas-charged twin shock absorbers take care of suspension duties. This setup is well-balanced for regular roads and bad patches of roads. Pulsar 220F has good straight-line stability and good protection from the high-speed wind blast is provided by the quarter fairing and the tall visor. With a comfortable riding posture, the bike can be classified as a sports tourer. The powerful engine under the fuel tank can let you ride at 100 kmph all day long.

The braking power comes from a 280 mm disc at the front and 230 mm disc at the rear. There is a single-channel ABS for added safety while braking hard. If you are a fan of Pulsar brand and want the original thrill of riding a Pulsar, then Pulsar 220F is the bike for you. It is priced at Rs 1.23 lakh which is surprisingly cheaper than the Suzuki Gixxer SF with a price tag of Rs 1.24 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi.

Bajaj Pulsar NS 200

Moving on to the next generation of Pulsar motorcycles in this list. The Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 is counted among the most powerful 200cc bikes in the country. The Pulsar NS 200 is the bike which ticks all the right boxes of style, performance, comfort and a little bit of practicality as well. To begin the talk, first, let’s take a look at the price of the bike. Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi.

Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 - Best 200cc Bikes in India 2020

This price undercuts the price of KTM 200 Duke by more than Rs 40,000 and to make Pulsar NS 200 look like the best motorcycle in this segment, it is priced under KTM 125 Duke as well. The bike did not receive any major change since 2012 when it was first introduced in the Indian market. This was the first bike in the Indian history to come with a 3-spark plug installed for efficient combustion.

Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 derives its propulsion force from a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that displaces 199.5cc volume. The engine breathes via an advanced 4-valve head with three spark plugs ready to burn the fuel. This powerplant pups out massive 24.13 bhp at 9750 rpm and 18.5 Nm of maximum torque is produced at 8000 rpm. The engine is a high revving unit and it married to a 6-speed gearbox. The liquid-cooled engine can easily take on the Indian summers while touring long distances in one go.

Okay, all this talking is done, but does well the bike perform on the road? Well, the Pulsar NS 200 does 0 to 100 kmph dash in about 10 seconds which makes it one of the quickest bikes in this segment. Top speed of the new BS6 version is in the range of 150 kmph according to the bike’s speedometer. With a pressed steel perimeter frame, the bike has astonishing cornering ability. The frame is highly rigid and offers quick lane changing manoeuvres and cornering stability.

The new BS6 version of the Pulsar NS 200 continues to use the old semi-digital instrument cluster which has an analogue tachometer. The digital screen offers regular information like speedometer, odometer, trip meters and a fuel gauge. Like all other bikes are offering, the company should have included a gear position indicator with the upgrade.

Speaking about the suspensions and brakes, the bike has telescopic forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. This system performs well and offers good comfort to the rider. The braking duties are taken care of by 300 mm petal disc at the front and 230 mm disc at the rear. Unfortunately, the bike only gets single-channel ABS.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200

Bajaj has another bike with the same essential bits that we mentioned in the Pulsar NS 200. The Bajaj RS 200 is the bike for those who do not like the naked design of the NS 200. This is the only fully-faired bike from the house of Bajaj and offers impressive performance from the same engine. Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 is priced at Rs 1.52 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi.

Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 - Best 200cc Bikes in India 2020

Basically, RS 200 is a fully-faired Pulsar NS 200 but the bike is completely different and appeals to the riders who want a sports bike. The bike features dual projector headlights and a plethora of plastics everywhere. The riding posture on the Pulsar RS 200 is more of an upright rather than leaning forward into a committed posture for tackling the race circuits.

Powering the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 is a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine with 4 valves and 3 spark plugs. This motor generates 24.13 bhp at 9750 rpm and 18.5 Nm torque arriving at 8000 rpm. This engine is rev friendly and catches up speed quicker than you might anticipate. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox which takes the bike from zero to 100 kmph in 10-11 seconds and goes up to a top speed of speedo indicated 150+ kmph.

Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 gets segment-leading twin-projector headlights with twin 65 Watts halogen bulbs. The company should have added LED lights for even better illumination. The fairing is completely made out of plastic or fibre as you would like to call it. There are split seats with ample space for both rider and the pillion.

On taking your position on the saddle, you will be welcomed by a semi-digital instrument cluster which is a straight lift from the NS 200. The clip-on handlebars are raised enough to provide a near upright riding posture. You can take the RS 200 on long-distance touring as there is enough protection from windblast with comfortable riding position.

For touring, you can cruise at 100 kmph all day long with a pillion comfortably lurking behind your back. The liquid-cooled engine further helps in riding non-stop for hours without overheating the engine. This makes sure that the engine stays reliable over the years. The high kerb weight of 166 kg is one thing that can make manoeuvring Pulsar RS 200 a bit difficult at the parking speed and crawling traffic speed. However, this is not the concern on the highways as weight disappears as you ride freely.

There is a telescopic fork at the front and gas-charged monoshock at the rear which handles the suspension of the bike. You will get great stability at high speeds and offers the impressive cornering ability. Only the heavy body of the bike hinders some of the flickability of the bike. With 300 mm petal disc at the front and 230 mm, disc at the rear helps in bringing the bike to a halt. A dual-channel ABS is present to avoid wheel locks under hard braking.

Now we have KTM 200 Duke which is a monster in bikes clothing. Yes, the explosive performance that you get from the Duke is unmatchable to any other bike in the segment or even with some bike in the higher segment. KTM Duke was launched in India nearly a decade ago and changes the Indian biking scenario completely. The BS6 KTM 200 Duke carries a price tag of Rs 1,76,845 ex-showroom, New Delhi.

KTM Duke 200 - Best 200cc Bikes in India 2020

KTM 200 Duke is a bike from premium 200cc segment as it offers all the top-notch equipment and hardware that guarantees premium riding experience. The safety is very well taken care of as it gets wide and grippy tyres with dual-channel ABS to keep you safe under extreme braking scenarios.

Let’s talk about that one thing which makes Duke 200 a Duke 200. Yes, we are talking about the engine. The bike gets a 199.5cc single-cylinder engine which is cooled by liquid-cooling technology. The fuel-injected, 4-valve DOHC engine breathes of massive 24.6 bhp of power at 10,000 rpm while the torque is 19.3 Nm arriving at 8000 rpm. This engine is connected to a 6-speed gearbox which is short gearing for hair raising acceleration.

The Duke 200 hits 100 kmph from zero in 10.15 seconds and has a top speed of 130 kmph. You might wonder why the top speed is so less for a 25 bhp bike? The explanation for this is the presence of engine rev limited at 10,500 rpm which kicks in and cut off the fuel supply. This is done to keep the engine from revving beyond the range and decrease the reliability of the engine.

The BS6 Duke 200 is a completely new model which carries the design language of Duke 250 and 390. It gets sharper front end with mature design than the previous version. There is the same old orange backlit LCD unit which is present in the bike from 2012. It offers information like speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, odometer, trip meters, instantaneous fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, distance to empty, gear position indicator and engine temperature indicator.

Since this frame is derived from the Duke 250, the weight of the bike is increased by 10 to 159 kg. The bike seems to have lost its character and has become a lot more mature in performance and power delivery. This has affected the performance with 0 to 100 kmph timing is delayed by 0.5 seconds and top speed is decreased by 8 kmph to 130 kmph.

The bike gets strong brakes in the disguise of 300 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc gripped by Bybre callipers. This time, the bike gets dual-channel ABS for full protection from wheel locking under hard braking.

If you are looking for KTM brand name, then KTM 200 Duke is the bike to go with. However, the bike has lost its charm as it is now heavier and offer lesser performance than before. The bike costs nearly Rs 2 lakh on-road in many Indian cities with the BS6 upgrade.

KTM RC 200

At last, we are with the KTM RC 200 which is the most expensive bike in the 200cc segment. It is also the only track focused race machine that you can buy for Rs 2,00,864 ex-showroom, Delhi. RC 200 is also the fastest and highly precise racing bike that is available in India for an affordable price when you compare high capacity racing bikes that cost upward of Rs 5 lakh Rupees.

KTM RC 200 - Best 200cc Bikes in India 2020

KTM RC 200 comes with a steel trellis frame which provides superior control over cornering and lane changing. The bike is highly agile and the chiselled ability to dive, sustain and exit from the tight corners is what you are paying your hard-earned money for. The mid-range performance makes the bike to leap forward in any gear and take on the short straights by consuming little amount of time.

At the heart of the KTM RC 200 is a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 199.5cc, single-cylinder engine with 4-valve DOHC head. This monster of an engine churns out best in the segment 24.6 bhp power at 10,000 rpm and staggering 19.3 Nm of twisting force peaks out at 8000 rpm. A 6-speed sleek shifting short geared transmission drives the rear wheel.

The main motive of the company for making this bike was to keep the rider as alert as possible and provide him/her the information which is needed to maximize performance. To do this, you get a pair of USD forks and a monoshock at the rear. The suspension is highly stiff and transmits a lot of jolts to the rider. This setup provides every bit of road feedback to the rider and helps the rider to understand how much throttle to pull or how much brake force is needed on that particular patch of road.

The braking performance comes from the dual disc setup. At the front, you get a 300 mm disc with 230 mm rotor at the back. These discs are gripped by 4-piston Bybre callipers fitted on radially mounted calliper blocks at the front and one-piston floating Bybre calliper at the rear. This setup also transmits feedback to the rider for quick, controlled and safer braking on the race track. For more safety, RC 200 is equipped with dual-channel ABS.

The instrument cluster is a small old small LCD screen which offers a range of information usually not found on regular road-going bikes. There is a visor large enough for you to tuck behind for better aerodynamics and higher top speed.

The BS6 KTM RC 200 returns a mileage of around 30-32 km per litre and the range that you can get from its 9.5-litre fuel tank is around 300 km. The kerb weight of the bike is 160.5 kg which is fine for a bike of this power output. The power to weight ratio is 153 bhp per ton for hair raising performance and thrill.

RC 200 is made for track racing and short stints. It should not be sued for touring as riding posture is highly committed and requires immense endurance and dedication.
