Japanese automobile manufacturer Mitsubishi currently has 2
cars on sale in the Indian market with another 3 expected to make their
appearance sometime in 2020. The company now sells cars that are built for off-road driving experiences and does
quite well in the segment. Here is a closer look at what these Mitsubishi cars
have to offer and the prices at which they could be purchased.
Mitsubishi Pajero
Sport
The 7-seater Pajero Sport SUV from Mitsubishi is one of the
most used cars in India thanks to
the features it carries and the performance it has to offer. Under the hood,
the Pajero Sport houses a 2.5L 4-cylinder DI-diesel engine that produces 178Ps
of power along with 350Nm of torque that pushes the car to a top speed of
190kmph. Mated to the engine is a 5-speed manual transmission with
4-Wheel-Drive. There is also an option for a 5-speed automatic gearbox which
offers the same speed and acceleration.
Now in its third generation, the Outlander is a car most
people know and love in India. It is powered by a 2.4L petrol engine that is
mated to a 6-speed CVT automatic transmission with 4-Wheel-Drive capabilities.
The engine produces 164.94bhp and 222Nm of torque which gives the car an
acceleration of 0-100kmph in 11.1 seconds. Some of the features on offer include
seven airbags, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED headlamps and
taillights, and a 710W Rockford Fosgate audio setup.
With a launch date set for some time in 2020, the Mitsubishi
Xpander is one of the most anticipated MPV from the Japanese manufacturer. The
car is already on sale in countries like Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines
and offers quite a lot in terms of features and performance. The car will come
with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that also features GPS
navigation, keyless entry with push to start functionality, parking cameras, and
Hill Start Assist, cruise control, and 12V power outlets for all 3 rows of
seats. The Xpander will get its power from a 1.5L 4-cylinder MIVEC petrol
engine that offers 105Ps of power and 141Nm of torque. The transmission will be
available in the form of a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
