Honda Cars India has finally launched the BS6-compliant version of the Jazz. The updated model features minor styling tweaks, a cleaner motor, and a new ZX trim that becomes the top-end model. The BS6 Jazz is on sale in three variants, with prices starting from Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

In order to optimise the visual appeal of the tallboy hatchback, the carmaker has decided to update the front fascia with a chrome accentuated high-gloss black front grille, new LED headlamps with LED DRLs, and LED fog lamps. The premium hatchback even features a new set of bumpers, while the car even gets new LED wing light. Inside, the 2020 Honda Jazz BS6 model doesn’t change much. Like before, there’s ample space for both front and rear passengers. The highlight of the features list of the new model includes a new soft touchpad dashboard, cruise control, auto AC with touchscreen control panel, multi-information combi meter with LCD display can be found in the cabin.

BS6 Honda Jazz Specs

Powering the BS6 Honda Jazz 2020 is a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that is an updated version of the BSIV motor that powered the premium hatchback. Like before, this four-cylinder motor pumps out a maximum power of 90 PS at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 110 Nm at 4,800 rpm. Transmission options for the new Jazz include a 5-speed manual and 7-step CVT units. If the carmaker is to be believed, the 2020 Honda Jazz is capable of offering a fuel efficiency of 16.6 kmpl with a 5-speed manual transmission and 17.1 kmpl with a CVT. Also, the new Jazz is currently the only car in its class to offer steering-mounted paddle shifters for the CVT model.

The new 2020 Honda Jazz BS6 is on sale at a starting price of Rs 7,49,900, while the most expensive model costs Rs 9,73,900. The base automatic variant costs Rs 8.49,900, while the costliest manual version costs Rs 8,73,900. The new model is on sale in 5 colour options – Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and Golden Brown Metallic
