The Maruti Celerio is on sale in India in both petrol and CNG powered engine options. The Celerio hatchback is powered by a 998 cc K10B engine which generates a total power of 50 kW at 6000 rpm and a total torque of 90 Nm at 3500 rpm. The CNG powered 998 cc K10B engine on the Celerio produces maximum power of 43.5 kW at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 78 Nm at 3500 rpm. Both the engine is driven by a 5-speed manual gearbox. An option for a 5-speed AGS (Auto Gear Shift) is also available on the petrol engine of Celerio.

The new addition to the Tata family in India, Tata Tiago is driven by a 1199cc petrol 1.2 litre 3 cylinder revotron engine with multi-drive. This engine puts out a max power of 85 ps at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 114 Nm at 3500 rpm. The 1047 cc 1.05 litre 3 cylinder diesel revotorq engine with multi-drive on the Tiago produce maximum power of 70 ps at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 140 Nm at 1800-3000 rpm. The gearbox on the Tiago is a 5-speed manual on both petrol and diesel powered engines. An option of 5-speed automatic transmission is also available in the petrol driven variant of Tata Tiago.

The exterior stance of the Celerio hatchback features a strong road presence with bold and stylish front bumper and grille, electrically adjustable ORVMs (Outside Rearview Mirrors), wide rear with elegant back door garnish and alloy wheels.
The Tiago hatchback, on the other hand, presents a sharp and structured stance with a bold signature Tata grille, three-dimensional headlamps, electronically adjusted ORVMs, wide rear tail lamp console and antenna on the top.
