Expected to be launched in India later in 2018, the new Datsun Go and GO+ facelift have been revealed in Indonesia. Spotted with a new touchscreen infotainment system and a bunch of exterior changes, both the cars are powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that powers the current car. It makes 68hp and 104Nm of torque. For Indonesia, the engine is available with either a five-speed manual transmission or an optional CVT gearbox. The automatic option is only available in the hatchback i.e in Datsun GO and not in Datsun GO+.
The Datsun Go facelift, if launched with an automatic transmission in India, will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Alto AMT and the Renault Kwid AMT, among others. The Datsun Go has impressed with its low price point and this new facelift will give the car a more upmarket look and the convenience that comes with an auto. However, it is likely that the manufacturer would skip the CVT gearbox on the Indian variant.

In terms of design, both the Datsun Go and GO+ facelift include newly designed front bumper and headlamps. These are same as those on the Cross, which was revealed earlier this year. The front bumper now carries vertical strips of LED DRLs in place of fog lamps. Both the cars are also available with a body kit, which includes sportier front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a large rear spoiler. Both models also get new alloy wheels and the side indicators are now integrated into the ORVMs.
