Ford India has launched a new trim of the Ford Freestyle. Christened the ‘Flair Edition’, the new model is based on the top-spec trim of the hatchback-crossover. It is available in both petrol and diesel variants, which cost Rs 7.69 lakh and 8.79 lakh, respectively. The Ford Freestyle Flair Edition features a range of comprehensive cosmetic updates. Thanks to these, the new model looks a bit sportier and more dynamic than the regular version. Other than getting a slew of exterior enhancements, the Flair Edition even features some interior enhancements.
The most significant update that can be seen on the Ford Freestyle Flair Edition is the new dual-tone paint scheme that works well to make the new model look sportier. Furthermore, it also gets several contrasting red elements, such as the roof rails, wing mirrors and the front skid plate. These elements together reinforce the bold and youthful design of the Flair Edition.
There are some more styling elements that make the Ford Freestyle Flair Edition look more premium. These include black-painted alloy wheels, Flair badge for the door, and body graphics. All of these new styling elements come together pretty well in enhancing the appearance of the Figo-based crossover hatchback. The recently launched Ford Freestyle Flair Edition is available in three colour options- White Gold, Diamond White, and Smoke Grey.
Just like the exterior, even the interior of the Ford Freestyle Flair Edition comes with a range of updates for the interior. The biggest interior change is the red-black colour scheme that complements the exterior. You can find red details on the door handles, whereas the seats carry the Flair badges. Speaking of the seats, they feature black and grey upholstery, with the dark colour schemes gelling up well with the sporty quotient of the vehicle.
As we said, the Flair Edition is based on the top-spec trim of the Freestyle and hence, it comes with all the bells and whistles available on the donor vehicle. The features list of the Freestyle includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, navigation support, automatic headlights, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, reverse camera, automatic climate control, and remote central locking.
Like the regular model, the new Flair Edition of the Ford Freestyle is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The former is a 3-cylinder 1.2-litre TiVCT petrol engine that generates 96 PS of maximum power and 120 Nm of peak torque. The diesel motor displaces 1.5-litre and is a TDCI unit that offers 100 PS of maximum power and 215 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
