In India, Honda has always projected itself to be a premium carmaker. While we would like to take that with a pinch of salt, there’s no doubt that the car buying lot perceives Honda as a car company lower only to luxury carmakers like Mercedes Benz and BMW. However, the high brand image notwithstanding, the company has been suffering from pretty low sales figures. While much of this has to do with the COVID situation, a part of it is also due to the absence of compact SUVs in the company’s portfolio. Anyway, in order to achieve better sales figures, the company is currently offering some attractive discounts across its model lineup. Here are the Honda September 2020 car offers and discounts-
Honda Amaze – September 2020 Car Discounts
Based on the second generation Honda Brio that is available in some international markets, the latest model of the Amaze that is on sale in the country comes across as a pretty good option. For this month, the Amaze is available with a free 5-year warranty, an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. These offers make the Honda Amaze an even better proposition for sub-compact sedan buyers.
The Honda City is easily the most well-known C2-segment sedan brand in the country. It’s also the most popular model in the company’s product portfolio. The City rivals Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, VW Vento, Skoda Rapid and Toyota Yaris. Recently, it got a complete model change, which resulted in the introduction of the all-new, fifth-gen model. However, the company has chosen to not phase out the fourth-gen car, which means both the new and old models are now being sold alongside each other. For the month of September 2020, the fourth-gen Honda City, which is now available only in the SV and V variants, is being sold at reduced price rates. The prices of these cars have gone down by up to Rs 65,000. Also, there’s a loyalty bonus for existing Honda car owners for both new and old generation sedans.
The Honda Jazz has finally got its BSVI update. The updated Jazz gets a cleaner engine, some styling tweaks and a few additional features. However, as Jazz is quite new in the market, there are no discounts being provided by the dealerships. If anything, buyers of this practical B2-segment hatchback can benefit from a loyalty bonus. The updated Jazz features a BSVI version of the 1.2-litre petrol engine that propelled the earlier car. It offers a max power of 90 PS and a peak torque of 110 Nm. However, unlike the earlier, BSIV Jazz, the BSVI version does not get the diesel engine option, which means one can’t choose the version with the 1.5-litre iDTEC oil-burner.
Like the Honda Jazz, the Honda WR-V, which is simply a crossover-inspired version of the hatchback, is on sale with BSVI-compliant power options. The updated pseudo-crossover offers both petrol and diesel engine options. It also offers some styling updates and additional features. The BSVI petrol engine for the WR-V offers 90 PS and 110 Nm, while the BSVI diesel heart outputs 100 PS and 200 Nm. The petrol engine is on sale with both manual and CVT automatic options, while the diesel engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. For September 2020, the Honda WR-V is on sale with a cash discount of Rs 20,000, a corporate discount of Rs 4,000 and a loyalty bonus for existing Honda customers.
Honda WR-V Facelift Expected New Car Prices in Popular Cities
Akin to the Honda Jazz, the Honda Civic received its BSVI upgrade recently. However, unlike the Jazz, which is hardly being sold with any sort of discounts, the Civic is being sold with some generous offers. Buyers of the petrol variant benefit from a cash discount of Rs 1 lakh, while those who purchase the diesel model benefit from a cash discount of Rs 2.5 lakh. Other than these great cash discounts, there’s no exchange offer or loyalty bonus being provided on this D1-segment sedan.
The last model on our list of Honda September 2020 offers and discounts is the CR-V, which, much like the Jazz, WR-V and Civic, recently got its BSVI engine upgrade. However, like the Jazz, the CR-V is not on offer with a diesel engine option anymore. What this means is that the premium SUV from Honda is only on sale with a 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 154 PS and a peak torque of 189 Nm. The motor comes mated to a CVT and there’s no manual transmission on offer.
