Yes, it’s that time of the year again! Almost every car manufacturer has been hoping to benefit from the surge in sales during this period of the year. And in order to make the most of the high demand, various discounts and offers are being provided on most of the models. The same is the case with Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the second most popular carmaker in India after Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Like its main rival, the Korean auto giant has a wide range of cars on sale in the country. These include the recently introduced new generation Santro and the bargain-basement Eon on one end, and premium models like the Elantra and the Tucson on the other. Fortunately, there are good discounts being offered on almost all of these models. Here’s a look at the Hyundai Car Offers and Discounts being offered at the moment.
The Hyundai Eon is the most affordable model in the company’s lineup. It is even cheaper than the recently introduced new-gen Hyundai Santro. While the company is yet to confirm this, it’s said that the Eon will be phased out by the advent of the next financial year. This is because of its inability to meet the upcoming safety norms. The small car has an average monthly sales of 4,500 units, which makes it totally unfeasible for the manufacturer to update the car as per the new safety standards. Plus, it’s been around for too long and is at the fag end of its career. Hence, the manufacturer is trying to sell as many more units of the Eon as possible before finally taking it off the shelves. And to achieve its goals, some really attractive discounts are being offered. Right now, Hyundai offers a discount of Rs 45,000 on the Eon, which is almost 15% of the base price.
The Hyundai Santro brand has made a comeback in an all-new avatar. While it doesn’t have much in common with the earlier generation, it’s as practical an offering, while having many traits of the Grand i10 at a much lower price point. The new tallboy went on sale late last month and has already received more than 30,000 bookings. Thanks to a great response, it’s not available with any discount at the moment. However, its starting price of less than Rs 3.9 lakh makes it an excellent value for money. Plus, one can always haggle with the local dealer for some unofficial ‘sweeteners’.
With an average monthly sales of more than 11,000 units, the popularity of the Hyundai Grand i10 is second only to the all-conquering Maruti Swift. The B1-segment Hyundai car offers a practical cabin, frugal yet powerful engines, many features, and a pleasing design. However, the small car is nearing the end of its career, which means Hyundai has started offering great discounts on this car. The petrol version, which is powered by the peppy 1.2-litre Kappa engine, is available with a cash discount of Rs 40,000. The diesel version can be bought with a cash discount of Rs 50,000. With such significant price cuts, the Grand i10 looks like a total steal. What do you think?
Like the Grand i10, its compact sedan sibling, the Xcent, is approaching the end of its lifecycle and is hence available with some great offers. This Hyundai car offers all the qualities of the hatchback sibling along with a bigger boot. Hence, all those who. have been wishing to buy a sedan but have been restricted by their budget can safely pick up the Xcent. This compact sedan is available with a cash discount of Rs 40,000. Furthermore, one can also benefit from a corporate bonus of Rs 5,000. This makes the Grand i10-based sub-4-metre sedan excellent value for money proposition.
With an average monthly sales of 10,500 units, the popularity of the Elite i20 is second only to the Maruti Baleno. This Hyundai car offers a premium experience owing to its great fit and finish, powerful engines, and an entire gamut of features. The Elite i20 is easily the most well-rounded hatchback in its segment. However, in spite of the high popularity, the company is currently offering a cash discount of Rs 20,000 along with a corporate bonus of Rs.5000. Please note that this offer is only available on the Active version, which is the crossover variant of the popular small car.
The Hyundai Verna is probably the most well-rounded sedan in its class. It’s fun to drive, safe, comfortable, attractive, and has a decent resale value. The latest generation of the company’s C1-segment model has found enough success in the market and has even outsold the Honda City on numerous occasions. This Hyundai car offers just too many benefits. Yet, it’s on sale with some great discounts. You get a cash discount of Rs 20,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 20,000. This means the buyers enjoy total benefits of Rs 40,000.
The Hyundai Creta is the most popular SUV in the above Rs 10 lakh bracket. It has a monthly sales figure of more than 10,000 units. Thanks to the high popularity, the company isn’t offering any discount on its hot-selling small SUV. There’s also no corporate bonus that is being offered. However, we recommend you to bargain hard at your local dealership as you might end up getting some sweeteners on select variants.
Both the Hyundai Elantra and Tucson are good products. While the Elantra doesn’t sell too well owing to the low popularity of expensive sedans, Tucson has been facing heat from popular models like the Mahindra XUV500 and the Jeep Compass. Hence, both the models are being sold with free first-year insurance worth more than Rs 50,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 30,000 on the Elantra and of Rs 50,000 on the Tucson.
So, are you planning to benefit from these Hyundai car offers and discounts by purchasing one of the above models?
