The Hyundai Creta made its Indian debut back in 2015 and quickly managed to garner a strong foothold in the market. However, by 2019, the top-selling status of the original Creta was snatched by the Kia Seltos and the last-gen compact SUV from Hyundai rapidly lost popularity. By mid-March this year, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) launched the new-generation Creta and ever since its introduction, the second iteration of the best-selling SUV has been outselling the Kia Seltos.
