Being the capital of Telangana, Hyderabad has a reputation
that very few cities in India can match up to. The diversity and career
opportunities have become a beacon for all career-driven people and in recent
years, the population has significantly increased. This has led to more
vehicles on the roads and even more crowded public transport. Many people have
chosen to buy their own vehicles and the transport department in Hyderabad has
been busier than ever before. People who want to drive their own vehicles must,
however, have a valid driving licence of their own. Today, the amended Motor
Vehicles Act of 1988 demands that people first apply for and acquire a learner’s
licence before they can get a driving licence. With a validity of 6 months, learner’s
licence holders must apply for a driving licence within that time frame. If the
licence expires, the holder must either apply for a new licence or renew their
expired one.
