Maharashtra government has announced a complete lockdown for 15 days that commenced from, April 14 and expect to end by May 1, 2021. The curfew restrictions apply to all the amusement parks, movie theatres, gyms, swimming pools, and places of worship. Shooting for films and advertisements will not be allowed during the lockdown. Also, schools, colleges,salons, beauty parlours, and barbershops will remain closed.
The travel and driving restriction in Maharashtra during the lockdown as are follows, the government will allow private vehicles to ply for emergency and essential purposes, residents and public travelling around the city without any valid reason are subjected to a fine of Rs.1000.
The curfew exempts essential services like hospitals, grocery shops, pharmacies, and, postal services, etc. Public transports such as Autorickshaws, buses, taxis, and trains can ply for essential service providers. The number of passengers in an Autorickshaws is limited to 2 while four-wheelers can have 50 per cent seating capacity. Buses are allowed to run with full seating capacity, but they cannot allow passengers to stand. Mask violators in public transport will be fined of Rs.500
