It has been revealed that the upcoming Mahindra Marazzo MPV launch will happen in early September. This simply means that the launch of the highly-awaited MPV is merely a month away from us. The Marazzo will become the first of the three all-new models the company will launch later this year. Mahindra Marazzo MPV Price in India
|Minimum Price||Rs 10 lakh (estimated)|
|Maximum Price||Rs 15 lakh (estimated)|
The Mahindra Marazzo will be positioned between the Scorpio and the XUV500. Unlike the speculations, it won’t replace the Xylo. Instead, it will try to attract the buyers of the now-defunct last-generation Toyota Innova. It’s likely to go on sale in several variants. These will target both fleet operators and private car buyers. Currently, the only MPV in this price bracket is the Renault Lodgy. However, the Marazzo won’t face much threat from the Renault model as the latter hardly finds any takers. Instead, it will have to lock horns with another upcoming MPV – the new-generation Maruti Ertiga. Like the Marazzo, the all-new Maruti Ertiga will be a premium product. It will be more upmarket than the current Ertiga.
Mahindra Marazzo MPV Specs
|Petrol||New 1.5-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder|
|Diesel||New turbocharged, four-cylinder|
The Mahindra Marazzo MPV won’t be powered by the current crop of mHawk and mFalcon diesel engines. It will instead get new-age petrol and diesel engines that will go on to power many other upcoming Mahindra vehicles. One of these will be a 1.5-liter, turbocharged diesel engine that will belt out 125 bhp and 305 Nm. The other will be a modern turbocharged petrol engine whose specifications are yet to be revealed. The petrol engine option will help Mahindra tap the growing petrol car buyers.
Mahindra Marazzo MPV Features
The Mahindra Marazzo MPV will try to justify its high price tag through a long list of features. The high-end variant will offer a segment-first surround cooling feature. Other than this, the MPV will offer leather upholstery, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, LED tail lights, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and rear wash wipe. Furthermore, don’t be surprised on seeing Mahindra equipping both the motors with its micro-Hybrid start-stop technology. This will help the company extract a decent mileage from its upcoming turbocharged engines.
The Marazzo MPV will also become a much safer vehicle than the Mahindra Xylo. Thanks to the upcoming stricter norms, the MPV will be equipped with ABS, reverse parking camera, and dual front airbags on all its trims. The upcoming Mahindra vehicle will also offer ISOFIX child seat mounts and speed-sensing door locks. Moreover, the Marazzo will become the first MPV from the company to have a monocoque construction. By design, a monocoque construction is safer than the ladder-on-frame setup. The Marazzo will comply with crash safety norms of most international markets. This will help the company sell it abroad.
Mahindra Marazzo MPV Design Review
As we’ve said above, the Mahindra Marazzo will take design inspirations from one of the most ferocious aquatic animal known to mankind. The company goes on to claim that the design of its premium MPV has been a work of Mahindra’s in-house design team and renowned Italian design house Pininfarina. While the company is yet to reveal the design of the Marazzo, several image teasers show a front grille that has been inspired from a shark’s teeth. Also, the car will have shark fin-like LED tail lamps. It will also have a shark fin antennae. The MPV will have a streamlined and aerodynamic shape. The vehicle will have a bold silhouette.
Not much more is known about the upcoming Mahindra Marazzo MPV. However, you can stay tuned for more details on the upcoming Mahindra vehicle.
