The recently introduced 2018 version of Mahindra XUV 500 got a 2179cc mHawk155 Diesel Engine with 6th Generation Electronically Controlled Variable Geometry Turbocharger (eVGT) that produces a maximum power of 155 horsepower at 3750rpm and maximum torque of 360 Nm at 1750-2800rpm. The 2179cc mHawk 4-Cylinder 2.2 Turbocharged petrol engine produces maximum power of 140 horsepower at 4500rpm and maximum torque of 320 Nm at 2000  -3000rpm. Both petrol and diesel variant comes with automatic and manual transmission options.

Under the bonnet, it is powered by a 1582cc 1.6L CRDi VGT diesel engine that generates 128 PS of maximum power at 4000rpm and 26.5 kgm of maximum torque at 1500-3000rpm. The 1591 cc, 1.6L Dual VTVT petrol variant produces a maximum power of 123 PS at 6400rpm and maximum torque of 15.4 kgm at 4850rpm. Both the engines on the Hyundai Creta come with an automatic and manual transmission as well.
