The availability of the petrol engine option will not only open new avenues for the compact SUV but it will also help the model ride on the strong wave of growing popularity of petrol-powered cars in this price segment. Maruti Vitara Brezza Uplift Launch Date

The launch of the Maruti Vitara Brezza uplift is likely to happen after the introduction of the S-Presso. The Brezza petrol model is expected to launch around this year’s festive season, which means a late-October launch is very likely. The company will surely try to ride on the wave of increased car sales during the festive season to ensure the Brezza gets a head-start of sorts.

The upcoming Maruti Vitara Brezza uplift will carry a slew of styling updates that will not only freshen up the image of the vehicle but will also help it look as modern as the latest rivals like the Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300. The front-end of the Brezza will get a bolder look, which will be courtesy of a new bumper, updated grille and a new set of headlamps. The rear will also get similar set of changes, while the side profile will likely get a new set of alloy wheels. The interior is also likely to get some updates, which will uplift the appeal of the cabin. The interior is expected to get a new upholstery and some change in the dashboard trim. Also, it could get some additional features, like an electric sunroof.

While the current Brezza comes equipped with a Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre Diesel engine, the Maruti Vitara Brezza uplift will be available with a petrol mill. In line with this, the Maruti Vitara Brezza petrol will be equipped with an in-house-developed 1.5-litre petrol engine that debut on the Ciaz and even powers the Ertiga and the XL6. This engine output a maximum power of 104.4 bhp and has a peak torque of 145 Nm. Transmission options will likely include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic unit. Also, the updated Brezza will be available with SHVS mild-hybrid technology that will help boost the mileage.
