Honda did the world unveiling of their thoroughly updated Amaze compact sedan at the 2018 Auto Expo in Noida. Just shortly after that, the 2018 Indonesia International Motor show took place in Jakarta, Indonesia during the month of April. Over there they showcased the Small RS Concept, a hot hatch based on the updated Amaze platform. We strongly believe that the production version of the Small concept will be seen in the market as the New Honda Brio. IndianAutosBlog has created a digital render of how the car would look in production form. Have a look:
New Honda Brio Design
As visible in the render, the aggressive aerodynamic aids of the Small concept won’t make it to the production version. The front section of the car will unmistakably resemble the updated Amaze. The new Honda City-inspired front grille with its big and bold chrome slats will be seen on the Brio too. The headlights are more likely to resemble the ones on the updated international version of the Honda Mobilio. The flared wheel arches, side diffusers, hood vents, have made way for simpler creases and bulges. The massive rear spoiler also won’t be making it to the new Honda Brio even as an add-on. Even the sharply designed blacked out rims will be replaced by simpler 7-spoke units.
New Honda Brio Launch Details
There is no official word from Honda whether the Small RS Concept will indeed reach the market as the new Brio. But going by the math, the Brio is due for a facelift as the sibling model, the Amaze already got one. The proportions and dimensions of the Small RS strongly suggest that the Brio could indeed draw inspiration from the same. The new Honda Brio is expected to be launched this year itself. Our country’s population is small-car centric and it is certain that Honda will be getting this car out to the public ASAP.
