Team CARS24

The French automaker Bugatti Automobiles, known for building some of the fastest production cars in the world, has partnered with the Croatian carmaker Rimac Automobili to set up a new joint venture. This new partnership, so to say, will look after the more contemporary developments and future products. The Croatian automaker, Rimac will be the majority shareholder in the new venture. This new company will be aimed to develop new technologies and cars for both Bugatti Automobile as well as Rimac Automobili.

Both the companies Bugatti and Rimac will continue with their current facilities and distribution centres. Rimac Technology will continue its production of supply battery systems and EV components for the rest of the companies. Bugatti will continue with the production of hypercars with internal combustion engines. The Bugatti-powered hypercars will continue to exist in the future.

The Rimac Group, which has investors such as Porsche, Hyundai, Mate Rimac, and others, will hold fifty-five per cent of the new company. Porsche will also be holding forty-five per cent of the other holding in the new company. This could also lead to a very exciting avenue for Porsche, as the expansion of the range of electric vehicles in Porsche could be seen in the future.

The CEO and the overseas operations of the new venture will be looked after by Mate Rimac, who is very excited about the trajectory of Rimac Automobili. The CEO said that,

“This is a truly exciting moment in the short, yet rapidly expanding history of Rimac Automobili. We have gone through so much in such a short space of time, but this new venture takes things to a completely new level. Rimac and Bugatti are a perfect match in terms of what we each bring to the table.”

The French automaker Bugatti will be continuing its operations from Molsheim, France. The new venture might get set up in the Rimac facility in Croatia. This facility will act as the technology development and research center for both the companies. Rimac will also be continuing its operations from Zagreb, Croatia.  The new venture is a promise for scaling great heights in the auto industry. We are positive this collaboration will grow to be a solid partnership, an iconic duo that hopes to pioneer the automobile industry. The amalgam of innovation and technology from Rimac with the brand awareness and existing loyal customer base and network will definitely allow this new move to not only be immensely successful but help both companies reach a collaborative high.
