Gone are the days when TATA used to be the definition of boxy looking cars. Today, TATA is working towards a new design language for the new possibilities in the auto world. TATA Motors has been on a spree to launch new vehicles in the Indian car market. Motorheads in the country are already awestruck after the news circulated the internet world for the TATA Harrier. Under the umbrella of more aerodynamic and futuristic looking cars, TATA is all set to launch the TATA 45X in the Indian car market. Recently spotted testing heavily camouflaged, TATA 45X will face competition with cars such as Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno. After the successful launch of TATA Nexon in India, TATA is relying on 45X to keep its mark up high in the hugely competitive premium hatchback segment.

To give a tough fight to its rivals, TATA will bring best in class features in the TATA 45X. Features list will include a lot of resembling features with Nexon such as floating touchscreen infotainment system. Showcased recently at the AutoExpo 2018, TATA 45X is expected to reach Indian shores by the end of 2019. Price segment for the TATA 45X may rest between INR 5 Lakhs to INR 9 Lakhs.
The TATA 45X will be driven by a 1198cc 1.2 Litre Turbocharged Revotron petrol engine which will generate maximum power of 108bhp and maximum torque of 170Nm. The 1498cc 1.5 Litre Turbocharged Revotorq diesel engine on the TATA 45X will make maximum power equal to the petrol variant and will make maximum torque of 208Nm. TATA will offer both 6-speed Manual and 6-speed Automatic Transmission option on the TATA 45X. Going by these specifications, the mileage on the 45X could be expected to range between 17kmpl and 22kmpl.

TATA’s design philosophy has been the differentiating factor among other rivals in the premium hatchback segment in India. The front stance of TATA 45X comes with futurism inspired bold grille, ultraslim headlamps and styling features such as large bumpers and flared alloy wheels. The headlamps on the 45X also work as DRLs. On the rear, the same design language follows with LED tail lamps and a spoiler. The concept version of TATA 45X is built on the new AMP platform. It is a flexible construction philosophy for all the upcoming cars from brand TATA in India. Following the new Impact Design 2.0 which is also defined as ‘Agile Light Flexible Advanced’ architecture, TATA will introduce different lengths, widths, wheelbases and suspensions for its cars. The overall stance of the future cars from the house of TATA Motors is inspired from the design cues of Jaguar and Land Rover.
Inside the cabin, the 45X feels plush yet futuristic with its clean design and environment. Following its new motto of bringing a fresh approach to design, TATA will bring features such as full digital infotainment system, Apple car play, Android Auto and automatic climate control. TATA is yet to release the complete feature list for this new hatchback in the auto world.
