Tata Motors today launched the Nexon EV with an introductory price of 13.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom, India). This electric SUV could be a gamechanger in the Indian auto industry and can possibly kick off an electric car revolution especially with a price tag that is almost 7 lakh lesser than its nearest competitor, the MG ZS EV.
The Nexon EV comes in three variants namely the XM, XZ+, and XZ+LUX; below are the ex-showroom prices of respective variants.
Powered by the cutting-edge Ziptron technology, this EV promises an efficient high voltage system, long-range, fast charging, extended battery life and best in class safety features.
The Nexon EV comes equipped with a motor that produces 129 PS power with 245 Nm torque mated to a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The EV has an ARAI certified driving range of 312 km, 60-minute fast charging, Eco and Sport driving modes. Tata also offers an 8 year or 1.6 lakh km (whichever is earlier) warranty on both the motor and the battery.
The SUV is available in three colors namely the signature teal blue, moonlit silver, and glacier white. The Nexon EV comes with 35 connected car features along with automatic headlamps, 16 inch diamond cut alloy wheels, dual-tone color options, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, 7 inch Harman infotainment system, plush leather seats, automatic climate control, and a sunroof.
Overall the Nexon EV as a package is a steal deal for Indian car buyers who have been waiting for an affordable and daily driver electric car to choose from!
