The Next-Gen Verna Spotted On Indian Roads

The next-gen Hyundai Verna has been spotted undergoing tests in South India for the first time. This vehicle has created a lot of buzz over the past couple of months owing to its secrecy and continual updates. It is rumoured to be launching overseas by the end of this year, and in India launch might happen sometime next year.

Wrapped up in secrecy, all the updated features have been hidden pretty well, barring a few sightings here and there. It will be getting a bold, stylish design. “Exquisitely Crafted Sensuous Sporty Design and Mesmerising Front Grille,” as described by the brand itself, Hyundai will most likely follow its latest ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language.

As for the new features, the interior of the new Verna will be getting an all-new dashboard design and more cabin room, along with a sunroof, LED headlamps, and cooled seats. They might also be getting a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a full-digital instrument cluster.

On the exterior, the next-gen Verna will be getting a wide-grille look that will merge with the headlamps, maybe even get a split headlamp design. It is suspected to be bigger than the previous models and will house features like fastback-like styling with a tapering roof and angular tail lamps.

It will come in both the 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel, with a mild-hybrid technology with automatic start/stop and brake energy regeneration. This will help with the fuel efficiency of the car.

We can expect the new Verna to make its debut early next year, maybe even during the Auto Expo 2023.
