From diamond-studded Bullet 350 to Gold plated McLaren 370s, there is a long-list of objects cooked for the opulent class in a weird manner. This, what Toyota calls the Vellfire, is not weird in any sense or as a matter of fact, too long of a shot. Launched at a hefty price tag of INR 79.50 lakhs, Vellfire is everything affluent but weighs more on the practical aspect of being an MPV.
Why does it weigh more on the practical part? Apart from all the shiny stuff, Vellfire is your office cabin on wheels which includes fold-out tables and cupholders with built-in chargers for laptops and phones (Maybe your trimmer too).
What makes this MPV worth the price tag it carries is the middle seat arrangement. Those PVR Gold-Class seats can be controlled by a switch and can be turned into a flat-bed. These seats are also equipped with massagers and are also heated or cooled according to your convenience.
Now let’s jump on to the hybrid powertrain this Pocket-fire(oh, sorry Vellfire) carries. A 2.5-liter petrol engine churns about 117hp of power which is coupled to two electric motors. These electric motors are mounted on both the front and rear axles which produces 143hp and 68hp of power, respectively.
Apart from all the shenanigans, Toyota Vellfire is equipped with a 13-inch rear entertainment screen that is mounted on the roof. Three-Zone automatic climate control with 16 color options for roof lighting, sunblinds in 2nd and 3rd row and the olive on the martini is the 17-speaker JBL sound system.
As per Toyota, they have already received 3 orders for Vellfire. While the bookings are open for months, deliveries are expected to begin in the next few weeks.
