In the new avatar, the tallboy will offer a new 1.0-litre petrol engine that will come mated to a five-speed AMT. The new Santro will become the first car from Hyundai Motor India Ltd to offer an AMT.

Another existing product that is about to get AMT option is the Mahindra KUV100 micro-SUV. The best part is that both the Petrol and Diesel models of this crossover will offer an optional AMT. Furthermore, the prices of the KUV100 AMT should start at roughly Rs 5 lakh. At this price point, the KUV100 will become the cheapest Mahindra product to offer an AMT. While the KUV100 has pretty much failed to get enough success, the introduction of AMT should make things slightly better for this litlte crossover.

Ford unveiled the Freestyle crossover earlier this year. Based on the Figo hatchback, the Freestyle marked the debut of the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine from the company’s Dragon-series of new-age engines. This engine produces a maximum power of 95 bhp along with a peak torque of 115 Nm, which makes it the most powerful normally aspirated engine in its class. The same engine will also make it to the upcoming Figo facelift. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT. Prices are expected to start at roughly Rs 6 lakh. g price to be under Rs 6 lakh.

Yes, even the Aspire, which is a Figo-based crossover, is about to get a facelift. Other than the many styling changes and new features, the compact sedan is among the upcoming AMT cars in India. It will get the new 1.2-litre Dragon engine with optional AMT. Chances are that the new Figo facelift and the Aspire facelift will launch around the middle of this year. The introduction of the AMT should help the Aspire become a stronger rival to the new Maruti Dzire and the new Honda Amaze.
New AMT Cars in India – Tata Nexon AMT
The Tata Nexon has to be among the most likeable cars from Tata Motors’ stable. With modern looks, premium interior, many features and powerful engines, the Nexon is a very attractive car. New AMT Cars in India – Maruti Vitara Brezza AMT
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has finally launched the much-awaited AMT version of its popular compact SUV, the Vitara Brezza, for the fast increasing tribe of automatic car buyers. The new Maruti Vitara Brezza AMT variant has gone on sale in three trim levels – VDi, ZDi and ZDi+. It is available in a new orange-black dual tone colour option. Prices start at Rs 8.54 lakh and go all the way to Rs 10.49 lakh. The Brezza AMT is powered by the same 1.3-liter Fiat-sourced engine that is found on the manual transmission variants. The top-end variant gets slightly spruced up styling in the form of black alloy wheels and additional chrome.
