Bentley’s most expensive car ever, the Mulsanne, is a true beast in terms of performance, looks, and unmatched comfort. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that offers 6752cc and a maximum torque of 1100Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission setup that features Rear-Wheel-Drive. With a mileage of 10.1 kmpl and a top speed of 305 kmph, the Mulsanne is quite the performer. Bentley focuses on luxury and that is what you get on the inside with high-quality leather seats, a leather-bound steering wheel, and a leather and wood dashboard. The outside has adjustable headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and a classy design that is only found on Bentley cars. Some of the prominent features found in the car are a digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system, sleek air vents, and a customizable control panel.

Bentley Bentayga

Bentley Bentayga
Launch Date April, 2016
Engine Twin-Turbocharged V8 Petrol
Transmission 8-Speed Automatic

The Bentley Bentayga is definitely one of the most popular models in their lineup and is the first SUV from the company. Being the first SUV, Bentley ensured that the car got everything it possibly could get to enhance its performance. For starters, it got a lot of safety features including anti-lock braking technology, driver and passenger airbags along with airbags on the side, central locking, and brake assist. Bentley didn’t skimp out on the features either as they included everything from adjustable seats and headrests to comfy heaters and voice controls for the ignition. Under the hood, the Bentayga houses a W12 Twin-Turbo petrol engine that has an 8-speed automatic AWD transmission. To increase the comfort level, the car received automatic climate control, heaters, air quality control technology, rear-seat headrests, cruise control, and voice control.

Bentley Continental

Bentley Continental
Launch Date March, 2018
Engine Twin-Turbocharged W12 Petrol
Transmission 8-Speed Automatic

By far, one of the most popular and most used cars from the Bentley lineup, the Continental is adored by celebrities for its sporty good looks and convertible design. The body of the car is sleek, like all Bentley cars, and is designed for speed. The Continental reached a top speed of 327 kmph and can go from 0-100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds. All this power comes from its Twin-turbocharged W12 petrol engine that pushes out 900Nm of torque at 5998cc. Attached to the engine is an 8-speed automatic transmission that also features All-Wheel-Drive support. The Continental has a mileage of about 9.5 kmpl and comes equipped with a 90-litre tank. In terms of features, the car has it all – power windows, heaters, automatic climate control, air quality control, a power outlet, vanity mirror, rear-seat headrests, leather steering wheel, leather dashboard, and a state of the art infotainment system.

Bentley Flying Spur

Bentley Flying Spur

Launch Date June 2019
Engine Twin-Turbocharged W12 Petrol
Transmission 8-Speed Automatic

Considered as the “most affordable” Bentley model, the Flying Spur comes in with a price tag of about 3.21 Crore (still not affordable enough to get people preparing RC transfers). It is also the newest model and has a release date as recent as June 2019 in India. Despite being the ‘cheap’ variant, the Flying Spur is packed with features that outshine most cars available right now in the country. Powering this car is a 5998cc Twin-turbocharged W12 petrol engine found on the Continental. It comes with an 8-speed automatic All-Wheel-Drive transmission and offers a top speed of 320 kmph with a mileage of 10.2 kmpl. The Flying Spur comes with all the amenities found on other models including a leather steering wheel with power steering, power windows for the front and rear, air quality control and automatic climate control features, rear reading lamp, vanity mirror, rear AC vents, parking sensors on the front and rear, and keyless entry. The car also has a bunch of tech toys in the front such as a digital dashboard, a touchscreen control panel as well as an infotainment system, and a USB charging port.

We know that Bentley is not the first choice for regular car owners, but it is a company that offers a lot in terms of safety, performance, technology, and overall luxurious comfort. Even for those who can afford it, the use of a used car evaluation tool can help you save a lot of money when finally opting for a Bentley car. Do you think Bentley is justified in pricing their cars in the way they do or are they overcharging for some features that we don’t really need in a car?
