Over the years, India has become the home for a number of international car manufacturers and Jaguar is one of the biggest names on that list. Jaguar is a company based in England and is responsible for a number of luxurious and premium cars. Their cars offer the perfect combination of style and power with just the right amount of luxury included as well. Ever since the company made its way into India, we have seen a large number of Jaguar cars across all parts of the country. The popularity behind Jaguar has led them to announce two upcoming models. If we look at how Jaguar sells cars in India today, we can expect the new models to fly out of dealerships quite successfully. Here is what is upcoming from Jaguar in the coming months.
|Jaguar E Pace||Rs. 45.0 Lakh|
|Jaguar I-Pace||Rs. 58.0 Lakh|
|Expected Launch||10 December, 2020|
|Engine||2.0L Petrol, 2.0L Diesel|
|Transmission||9-Speed Automatic, 6-Speed Manual|
Known as the younger sibling of the recently launched F-Pace, the Jaguar E-Pace is a compact SUV that has a similar design to the F-Pace and F-Type Coupe. In terms of looks, the E-Pace has the same rising window line as seen on the F-Type while the car does feature a raked roofline. The car looks to be targeted at the younger generation with its sporty look and smaller size and could easily be one of the most second hand cars from the brand when launched. On the inside, the E-Pace is quite familiar as it boasts plush interiors and high-tech equipment. There is a 10-inch infotainment setup with touchscreen capabilities as well as a 12.3-inch TFT instrument panel. Although there are 5 variants – 2 petrol and 3 diesel – set to be launched, the E-Pace will house the same BSVI-compliant 2.0L 4-cylinder engine on all of them. Mated to the engines will be either a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic gearbox and will have a top speed of 243kmph. Some of the other features found on the E-Pace are a heads-up display, 3D maps, six airbags, pedestrian airbag, and Blind Spot Assist. The car is set to go up against SUV cars like the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, and the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
|Expected Launch||15 December, 2020|
|Engine||Dual Electric Motors|
The Jaguar I-Pace will be the brands first all-electric SUV and is set to hit Indian markets as soon as July 2020. After its initial concept unveiling in 2016, the car was ready for sale in 2018 around the world. Housing an electric motor on each axle, the I-Pace will offer 400PS of power and is capable of taking the car from 0-100kmph in just 4.8 seconds. Behind the powerful motors, the car is fitted with a 90kWh lithium-ion battery that will carry the I-Pace for up to 470kms on a single charge. The company claims that a 50kW DC charger that will give the battery enough power to run 270kms with just 60 minutes of charge while the included 7kW AC charger will take about 10 hours to give the battery about 80 per cent power. In terms of design, the I-Pace features a lip spoiler and a rear windscreen that is raked to give it a crossover look. The rear of the car also has a dual-tone bumper, stylish LED taillights, and a dual-tone bumper. On the front, the car gets the regular grille with stretched LED head lamps that give the car a rather bulky look. Interiors of the I-Pace are both premium and modern with the Touch Pro Duo infotainment system in the middle. This setup offers two touchscreen displays – one for controlling the cars settings and the other for music and other content. The Jaguar I-Pace, although the most expensive of the three, can be purchased with a discount with the help of a pre-owned car evaluation tool that gets you the best deal on your current vehicle.
Given the fact that Jaguar has done so well over the years, these upcoming cars could give their competition a run for their money. With upgraded designs, newly added technology, and more-or-less affordable price tags, these Jaguar cars could soon get people readying their RC transfer papers in search for something much better.
