Producing some of the most luxurious and premium SUVs in the world, Land Rover has already made a name for themselves in the automobile industry. After making their way into the Indian market, Land Rover has been one of the bestselling manufacturers in the country. The company sells cars that offer excellent performance on Indian roads and therefore have released a couple of new models in the country that are set for launch in the coming months. Here is a look at the two upcoming Land Rover cars in India.

|Land Rover Defender||70.0 Lakh|

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 2019 was first unveiled in 2018 and is now ready for an Indian launch sometime in October. This is the second-gen Evoque from the British manufacturer and is based on the new Premium Traverse Architecture from Jaguar Land Rover that allows cars to offer electrification as well. In terms of looks and design, the 2019 Evoque resembles the larger Velar but is now a lot sharper and sleeker than the previous model. Some of the other upgrades are the new grille, new headlamps, taillights, and bumpers. Inside, the car is expected to come with some major improvements including a new instrument cluster, a new digital dashboard, fewer buttons on the control panel, touch buttons on the steering wheel, and more. The Evoque 2019 is also set to come with Touch Pro Duo technology that offers dual touchscreen displays for the infotainment system as well as the control panel. It is also expected that the car will feature the company’s ClearSight technology that gives the driver a better look at what is in front and under the front of the car with the help of cameras on the grille and the wing mirrors. This feature will give the Evoque 2019 better control over rough terrains and around tight corners. Although information about the powertrain options is unavailable, we can expect the same 2.0L petrol engine as well as the 2.0L diesel engine found on the current model. Both the variants are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission gearbox which offers 240PS of power for the petrol and 180PS for the diesel options.
|Expected Launch||September 15, 2020|
|Engine||D200 Diesel, D240 Diesel, 2.0L Petrol, 3.0L Petrol, Plug-In Hybrid|
One of the best off-road and the most used car in this segment from Land Rover is the Defender and the latest iteration offers so much more than its previous namesake. In terms of design, the latest model retains some of the old-school features but now comes with upgraded technology and equipment. The car will be made available in either a 3-door or 5-door option and a total of 6 variants are expected to be launched in the country. The base model, the S, the SE, the HSE, the First Edition, and the X are the models that will be released and will feature different specifications. All the models will also come with a choice of accessories packs that include Adventure, Explorer, Country, and Urban which will have rooftop tents, electronic wenches, and other such tools. The exteriors of the 2020 Defender will have the same boxy style design with almost square arches for the wheels and a high-set bonnet. On the back, the car comes fitted with a tailgate that is hinged on the side and houses squared-off taillights featuring Matrix LED lights. A choice between a fabric foldable roof and a sliding panoramic sunroof is also available. Keeping to the design, the Defender will have a boxy dashboard layout and will feature upgraded equipment like a leather-encased steering wheel, ventilated front seats, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 10-inch infotainment setup, and a high-quality 700W Meridian speaker system. Under the hood, the 2020 Defender will come with a couple of diesel engine options including a 4-cylinder D200 and a 4-cylinder D240 engine that offers 200PS and 240PS of power respectively. The petrol variants include a 4-cylinder 2.0L engine at 300PS of power while the 6-cylinder 3.0L engine offers 400PS of power. Land Rover also announced that there could be a Plug-In Hybrid version in the near future. All the models and variants will come with All-Wheel-Drive capabilities that help it take on all kinds of terrain with ease.
If you are a person who likes off-road adventures, these above-mentioned cars will help you get the most out of your experience with comfort. These land Rover cars offer so much to the public that it could easily have interested buyers reaching for their RC transfer papers in no time. While there are other cars available out there with lower price tags, a used car evaluation tool can help you get your hands on any of these cars quicker and with additional savings.
