The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2020 is the upgrade of one of the most old cars in the brand’s lineup – the original Pajero which was released in 2012. Based on the “Dynamic Shield” design by the company, the SUV will be made bigger and sturdier than before. The grille of the Pajero Sport 2020 is sleek and new as is the new headlamp that is now in a split design rather than a solid one. On the rear too, the car will feature new taillights that have a slim profile and LED graphics. Finally in the exterior department, the bumpers get a few tweaks which will give the car a sportier look. In the power department, the Pajero Sport 2020 will house a BSVI-compliant 2.4L diesel engine that produces 181Ps of power and 430Nm of torque and will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. While the company hasn’t sold a large number of cars in the country in recent times, you can get your hands on the upcoming Pajero Sport 2020 with the help of a second hand car evaluation tool that will help you get a great deal on your current car.
Expected Launch | 5 March, 2021 |
Engine | 1.5L 4-Cylinder MIVEC Petrol |
Transmission | 5-Speed Manual, 4-Speed Automatic |
Although the Mitsubishi Xpander is currently selling in Southeast Asia, it is set to reach India sometime in 2021. The car will sport the “Dynamic Shield” design from Mitsubishi which gives the car an angular front and a boxy overall design. When it comes to rivalry, the Xpander will go up against models like the Maruti Ertiga, Honda BR-V, and the Mahindra Marazzo. Powering the car is a 1.5L 4-cylinder MIVEC petrol engine that produces 150Ps of power and 141Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission gearbox which gives the car some serious power and speed. In terms of features, the Xpander has a lot of offers including keyless entry, a push-button to start/stop the car, a 7-inch touchscreen LCD display, cruise control, telescopic steering wheel, GPS navigation, and power outlets on all 3 rows of seats. The safety features on the Xpander include dual airbags, traction control, ABS with EBD, Hill Start Assist, parking sensors, and Electronic Stability Control.
Expected Launch | 5 August, 2021 |
Engine | 1.5L 4-Cylinder Turbocharged Petrol |
Transmission | 6-Speed Manual, CVT Automatic |
If you think of premium SUVs, Mitsubishi might not be the first name that comes to mind, but the Eclipse Cross is one of the most popular SUVs available today outside India. In the front, the Eclipse Cross is fitted with a large grille that is overlaid with horizontal chrome slats. On each side, there are sleek LED headlamps that sit above the large fog lamps. The air dam is found below the grille and makes up the remaining of the front bumper. The rear of the car features an extended lip that houses the LED taillights and a large, sturdy bumper. Although the interiors consist of plastic, the quality of the plastic is extremely premium and adds a soft touch to the dashboard. There is a 7-inch infotainment system that offers complete control over your favourite music and other content. Powering the Eclipse Cross is a 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic gearbox. There are rumours of a 2.2L diesel engine that could be included in the near future, but would not make it to India this year. With a price starting at about 18.0 lakh, the Eclipse Cross is set to be one of the most popular SUV cars available in the country.
With Mitsubishi set to release these above-mentioned cars in the coming months, we can expect to see a lot more people preparing their RC transfer papers. Are you a fan of the Japanese manufacturer or will you be looking elsewhere when the time comes to launch these cars?
