Unlike its concept designs, the UX looks a little more realistic and sleeker. The arrow-shaped LED DRLs found on all Lexus retain their place while the front grille now comes with a block-shape to it. The wheels are sized between 17-18 inches depending on the variant of the SUV. At the back, the UX SUV will come with 120 LED lights that make up the connected taillight arrangement. Under the hood, the Lexus UX will come with a 2.0L Hybrid-Petrol engine that is expected to produce 178Ps of power and should come mated to the E-CVT automatic transmission system that has been teased for some time now. Transmission 7-Speed Dual-Clutch Automatic

While Mercedes has already announced and is successfully selling the LWB (Long Wheel Base) version of the A-Class Sedan in China exclusively, the company did confirm that India will also get the pleasure of driving the A-Class sometime in 2020. We still don’t know whether we will get the exclusive LWB variant from China or the standard variant but since the LWB version of the E-Class did exceedingly well in the country, our bets are on the LWB A-Class making it over into India as well. Powering the upcoming A-Class sedan will be a BSVI-compliant, 1330cc Turbocharged petrol engine that offers 163PS of power and 250Nm of torque, and is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Both variants will come with 2.0L BSVI-complaint petrol and diesel engine options which will be mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. On the inside, the GLB is said to feature a boxy dashboard with a large touchscreen MBUX-included infotainment system as well as a digital instrument cluster for complete control while driving. The 1.4L engine will be housed in a Ceed that features 17-inch alloy wheels. Although the hatchback segment is not as popular in India, the KIA Ceed might bring about a major change in that given the fact that it offers a lot for the everyday driver.

DC TCA

The TCA is styled according to the Pagani Zonda and the LaFerrari which are the ultimate sports cars in the market right now. The platform of the upcoming TCA is basically a modified version of the one found on the DC Avanti, however, the TCA is longer, wider, and lower than the Avanti. Powering the upcoming TCA will be a 3.8L V6 petrol engine that will generate 320Ps of power and will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission system. This is expected to be a massive attraction as the Avanti only came with a manual gearbox. In terms of speed, DC has claimed that the TCA will be able to go from 0-100 Kmph in an impressive 4.5 seconds which is not the quickest, but it is fast for Indian roads. One of the biggest attractions of the TCA is the fact that DC has stated that they will only make 299 units of the car with bookings already being made currently.

Honda Brio 2020

Expected Launch 1 December, 2020
Engine 1.2L Petrol
Transmission 5-Speed Manual, CVT

Honda has always been a popular option when it comes to compact hatchbacks in India and the Brio is clearly one of the best available in the market right now. The second-generation Brio was first revealed at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show back in 2018 and the Japanese manufacturer has finally decided to make it available to India. This could be the perfect time for interested buyers to ready their RC transfer papers for one of the most anticipated hatchbacks this year. One of the major differences between the previous model and the upcoming one is that Honda has made it more spacious – something which was a negative point for interested buyers. Even the design of the new Brio has changed a lot with a more mature look as compared to the playful design on the current model. However, under the hood, the new Brio will still feature the same 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 90Ps of power and 110Nm of torque. Mated to the engine will be a standard 5-speed manual gearbox but Honda is expected to include a 7-speed CVT when the car is launched in India. In terms of features, the new Brio will come with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and Bluetooth enabled audio which are just some of the latest additions. LED headlamps and taillights, ABS with EBD, keyless entry, automatic climate control, and dual airbags in front also make the list of new features.

Hyundai Ioniq

Expected Launch 1 December, 2020
Battery 28kWh Lithium-Ion
Range 280 Km

Back in 2018, Hyundai unveiled the Ioniq electric and hybrid models which took the world by storm. Later, Hyundai also showcased a plug-in hybrid variant which will most likely not make its appearance in India. As of the latest news, only the electric variant will be brought to India and will be one of the best options in the segment. Hyundai has fitted a decent 28kWh Lithium-Ion battery into the Ioniq which is expected to charge from 0-100 percent in about 9-10 hours. However, Hyundai will also include a quick charge option that will significantly reduce the charge time to about 4-5 hours. When the Ioniq’s battery is completely charged, it is expected to have a maximum range of 280 Kms which is rather impressive. In terms of design, the Ioniq electric car will come with a hexagonal grille that will give it a sleek, sharp look. The LED headlamps and LED DRLs will keep the Ioniq updated. The use of aluminum in the boot lid will make the Ioniq up to 25 percent lighter than some of the other Hyundai cars available today. In the features department, the Ioniq will come with a 7-inch instrument cluster as well as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Safety will be a major attraction for the Ioniq with 7 airbags, adaptive cruise control, autonomous braking, lane change assist, and blind spot detection.

Considered as the discounted S-Class, the upcoming E-Class 2020 carries all the luxury but leaves behind the hefty price tag from the most premium sedan from Mercedes-Benz. The body of the upcoming E-Class looks quite similar to the previous iteration but there are a few upgrades and new inclusions. The brake lights are now wider than they used to be on the older E-Class and the headlamps also get brand new LED lights in them. The alloy wheels have also been redesigned. The front grille has also been changed up a bit with the standard version getting a curved up design whereas the AMG variants get a more aggressive-looking swept down grille design. On the AMG variants, Mercedes has also included “power domes” or bulges on the bonnet that give the car a deeper sound when revving the engine. Under the hood, the new E-Class 2020 comes with a BSVI-compliant 2.0L Inline 4petrol engine that is capable of generating 255Ps of power and 273Nm of torque and is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission gearbox. Some of the other features include “Hey Mercedes” voice assistant, 360-degree surround-view camera, blind-spot monitoring, and all the other high-tech equipment you can expect from a Mercedes-Benz premium sedan.

Skoda Kamiq

Expected Launch 15 December, 2020
Engine 1.0L Petrol, CNG
Transmission Manual, DSG

The Skoda Kamiq is one of the most anticipated SUVs in the country thanks to its Volkswagen Group engineered MBQ A0 platform and its expected affordable pricing. The already in-use MBQ A0-platform CNG engines used in Europe are helping to decrease CO2 and NOx emissions by 25 and 75 percent respectively as compared to the regular petrol engines. Under the hood of the upcoming Kamiq, Skoda is expected to house a 1.0L TSI petrol engine which will either produce 95Ps of power along with 175Nm of torque or 115Ps of power and 200Nm of torque. While the TSI engine will be mated to both manual and DSG gearboxes, the TGI variant will only be available with a 6-speed manual transmission system. Expected Launch 15 December, 2020
Engine 2.0L 4-Cylinder Turbocharged Petrol
Transmission 7-Speed DCT Automatic

Although the GLA 2020 is the smallest crossover from Mercedes-Benz, the car sure knows how to pack a punch. The GLA 2020 is designed to look and perform thanks to its sporty features including the shorter overhangs, the 18-inch wheels, and the raked windshield in the front. The front grille is quite hidden thanks to the oversized Mercedes-Benz branding but it is not something that depreciates the look of the car – in fact, it gives it a more aggressive look overall. Powering the GLA 2020 is a 2.0L Turbo-petrol engine that will produce 208Ps of power and 258Nm of torque. Paired to the engine will be a 7-speed DCT or Dual-Clutch Transmission. There is a distinct difference to the look of the new Elantra as the front grille now has a cascading effect while the Hyundai insignia now takes its place on the bonnet rather than the grille. The roofline now slopes like on a coupe and the sharp lines on the side give the sedan a beautifully aggressive look. The previous Rapid saw a lot of people ready their RC transferpapers to get their hands on the model and we can expect the same from this model as well. Although not much has been discussed about the upcoming premium sedan, the Rapid 2021 has gained a lot of attention.
