BMW 1 Series summary

BMW introduced the 1 series way back in 2004. The 1 Series is a car categorised in the C segment, which was launched as a successor of the 3 series in a compact size. The latest model, which is the third generation of 1 series, was introduced in 2019. However, soon after, India discontinued it because of its lacklustre sales performance.

The first generation was manufactured in 3 body styles- hatchback, coupe, and convertible. However, the coupe and convertible body style model was marked separately as 2 series since 2014, and the hatchback model is named 1 series.

The car is only available in Diesel engine, which is 1995 cc, and offered only in Automatic transmission.

Purchasing this muscular vehicle will allow you to access its high-tech kit, remote trunk opener, seat lumbar support, keyless entry, parking sensors, digital odometer, and whatnot.

The striking looks get even better with its amazing 17-inch alloy wheels and the glossy black lower section making the rear of the vehicle more attractive.

The 5 door model is powered by a 2.0- litre turbo-diesel engine that produces 150PS of power and 320 Nm of peak torque. The mileage of the vehicle is 23.26 kmpl.

With a high ground clearance of 157 mm, the vehicle pleased many Indian customers with its attractive looks and features. Moreover, this hatchback model is 4329 mm long, 1984 mm wide, and features a wheelbase of 2690 mm, which is way too good if you compare it with other hatchbacks.

Moreover, the stalks behind the steering wheel give you a sporty feel.

BMW 1 Series EXPERT REVIEWS

BMW 1 Series is known to be one of the finest and premium hatchbacks on sale, not maybe in India but in many countries worldwide. The top-rated brand, BMW offered the perfect combination of efficiency, performance, and driver thrills while launching this fascinating car.

The car has decent handling. On top of that, the engine range of the 1 series is exceptionally good. You will never regret buying this sturdy model of BMW as you can choose from an 8 speed automatic or a 6 speed manual gearbox in previous generations. However, only an automatic gearbox is available for the third generation.

All the buttons of the vehicle are easy to reach. Overall, 1 Series provides great comfort and makes you witness a smooth driving experience. The sad part is that the buyers are not provided with any additional personalised customization options. The spectacular car is equipped with magnificent safety features, including an anti-theft device, EBD, automatic headlamps, crash sensor, vehicle stability control system, tire pressure monitor, traction control, and anti-lock braking system.

The smallest BMW is a great drive for small families or youngsters looking to buy a subcompact executive car. The car can also be purchased by individuals who want to go off-road as the brand has introduced the latest edition of 1 series in front-wheel drive options. However, you cannot expect to go heavy off-roading with it to make it very clear. So, if you are thinking of buying this vehicle for an off-road experience, it's a big no.

BMW, the manufacturer of the 1 Series, has moved from rear to front-wheel drive, which has made its drive more comfortable and quieter on the motorway. Moreover, its high grip and sharp steering will enable you to cover the ground quickly.
