Honda City PRO’s & CON’s

  • Things We Like
  • Things we don’t like

Looks and performance: The Honda City is an engaging car to drive, with its best-in-class performance figures and its sporty yet elegant looks. It stands out among its competitors.

Boot space: The boot space of the Honda City is 506 liters, which is exceptional when compared to other sedans in the same segment. This is the result of the longer and wider body of the City.

Spacious and pleasant interiors: The interiors are aesthetically pleasing and offer great comfort and unmatched luxury.

Infotainment and connectivity: The City comes equipped with an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and the Honda Connect System with TCU. The city is the first Indian car with Alexa and Google Assistant connectivity.

Other features: It also has features such as Hill Start Assist (HSA), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Agile Handling Assist (AHA) automatic climate control, remote engine start feature, ambient lighting, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, and much more.

No diesel automatic version: The non-availability of a diesel automatic variant is a huge disadvantage to the City compared with other vehicles in the same segment. Most people prefer diesel to petrol as it is much more fuel-efficient and is cheaper.

Uncomfortable: Rear seats do not have adjustable headrests.

Average mileage: The mileage is another major concern for Honda City. The mileage is just average, and many of its competitors provide more efficient numbers.

Overpriced: The base variant of the city is significantly overpriced than its competitors, which will be a huge letdown to an average family looking for an upgrade.

Honda City EXPERT REVIEWS

The Honda City is one of those cars that has wowed auto enthusiasts for more than a decade. People still consider it as a status symbol. Honda’s brilliant built quality, reliability, and a history of producing excellent vehicles, combined with the superior performance and aesthetics of the City, makes it one of the most desirable vehicles. It is equally good for a family looking to upgrade from a hatchback as well as for a young auto enthusiast who goes for solid performance and looks. Even though the City may be considered a bit overpriced, most users are willing to pay that little extra for the superior quality, performance, and reliability.

The variant that we recommend is the petrol automatic. This is a delight for people who do not particularly enjoy the hassle of gear changing, and it is a perfect choice if you’re living in a crowded city. However, that doesn’t mean that this is a bad choice for a manual enthusiast, as it comes with paddle shifters that provide an even engaging drive to the manual lovers. This car also comes with a top-class CVT gearbox, the gear shifts are butter smooth, with no lag whatsoever. The CVT variant has a slight dip in the mileage figures, but that trade-off is worth it, considering the kind of performance the vehicle provides.

To sum it up, the Honda City is a wonderful vehicle suitable for people from all walks of life.
