Jeep Compass Trailhawk summary

Let's begin with the most obvious. The TrailHawk's ground elevation increased to 205 mm, up from 178 mm before. Thanks to the revised bumper, the 26.5° approach angle is much better than the 17.5° of the conventional Compass. The strong slope in the bumper also provides it a respectable 31.6° departure position in the back. When you combine it with a 21.2° break-over angle, you have an SUV that should assist in battling the natural environment.

A relocated snorkel is one of the less noticeable changes. The Compass TrailHawk's freshwater wading capabilities have been improved by 120 mm, giving it a 480 mm rating. The Jeep has also cleared out the gaps in the distinctive seven-slot bumper to prevent water from clogging the air intake. Jeep further claims that the TrailHawk was designed with thin 6.5J rims in mind.

When 225/60R17 tires are mounted on the metals, the tires swell out a bit, safeguarding the alloys from scuffs and dents. The tires are Falken Wildpeaks -- dirt and snow certified.

Even what appears to be a purely aesthetic procedure has a function. Take, for example, the red tow hook. Because of passenger safety regulations, the TrailHawk in India does not provide two hooks in the front. The one in the back, on the other hand, is very much present. It's a stretched member that can support up to 1.5 times the weight of the Compass. As a result, even if your pals in larger, heavier SUVs become trapped, you will be able to free them.

You'll pick on the TrailHawk's practical side when not fooling. To begin with, it has a power take-off unit (PTU), which disengages the back axle when not in use. The Compass TrailHawk will be more efficient on the highway due to this. Auto start-stop technology is also available to help with that efficiency statistic.

But that's not all the Jeep's 2.0-liter powertrain has to offer. This multi-jet motor now complies with BS6! The TrailHawk is equipped with a 13-liter AdBlue tank to reduce emissions. For those unfamiliar with AdBlue, it's a urea solution (also known as 'Diesel Exhaust Fluid') sprayed into exhaust emissions.

The urea combines with nitrogen oxide at high temperatures, turning it into harmless nitrogen and liquid water. Jeep warns that the diesel exhaust fluid will need to be replaced after 7000-9000 kilometers of operation.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk LATEST UPDATES

The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift, which includes considerable aesthetic and interior modifications, was unveiled earlier this year by the American SUV maker. The business is now preparing to release its improved off-road Trailhawk model in the following months. In Ladakh, the new Compass Trailhawk was recently sighted testing without any concealment. According to Spy pictures, the vehicle has freshly designed LED headlights, revised front, and rear bumpers, and enhanced approach and departure angles.

The large diamond-cut alloy wheels provide character to the vehicle's side appearance. The SUV features 4X4 and Trailhawk badges on the rear. Its sporty exterior is enhanced by black emblems on the bonnet, black texture from the A, B, and C pillars, and the red finish on the frame's beltline, roof, and sunroof.

The noticed model was dressed in a two-tone black and red design. The inside of the novel Jeep Compass Trailhawk makeover for 2021 will be comparable to that of the standard model. It will come with a new, more extensive 10.1-inch tablet infotainment system, including UConnect 5 software, enabling Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and natural language processing.

A new steering wheel, linked car technology, a 360-degree driving camera, wireless smartphone recharging, ventilated seats, an instrumentation console with new inlays, a redesigned dashboard with super-soft leather embroidery, and more will be among the features.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk EXPERT REVIEWS

The Compass TrailHawk ex-showroom pricing is Rs. 26.80 lakh. In addition, the two-pane spectacular sunroof would set you back Rs. 27.60 lakh (ex-showroom). At that price, it has two features that the ordinary Compass does not: automatic transmission and improved off-road capability.

We wouldn't suggest the TrailHawk just because of its automatic transmission. The off-road abilities are an essential part of its personality, so if you don't plan on utilizing it off-road (as you should!), stay away. According to Jeep, providing the automatic transmission in cheaper variations, including 4x2 models, is a "natural thing to do". You'll have had to wait a little longer if you merely want a diesel-powered Compass.

The upgraded motor still produces 170 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. It also doesn't drive any differently than the BS4 does. On the other hand, the engine seems much smoother at idling and while driving. The vibrations on the floorboard and the pedal aren't as loud as they formerly were.

The diesel engine comes with a new 9-speed automatic transmission. According to Jeep, this transmission will be limited to the TrailHawk before going to other Compass versions.

The Trailhawk, on the other hand, makes a compelling argument if you want a go-anywhere vehicle that you wouldn't hesitate to climb into and drive to Ladakh, Spiti, or perhaps even Sandakphu. The Compass TrailHawk, in our opinion, is one of the most incredible road trip vehicles available - elegant, comfy, but now with ramped off-road gear, ready to take a battering! Nonetheless, it's difficult to suggest, with on-road pricing above Rs. 30 lakh. Particularly when larger SUVs like the Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner remain available.
