The Mahindra XUV Aero is expected to be launched sometime in February 2022 in India. Mahindra is launching this in the diesel variant with a 6-Speed automatic and manual transmission. The Mahindra XUV Aero will be available in rust-orange, red, and black, but the actual number of colours it will be available in is still to be confirmed.

The Mahindra XUV Aero is powered by a 2.2 L mHawk Diesel engine that comprises a modern turbocharger, an advanced combustion system and a low-pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation technology. It has a power of 210 BHP and 330 Nm torque and comes equipped with four drive modes- Race, Off-road, Street and sport. The key features of the Mahindra XUV Aero include a high-resolution touchscreen infotainment system, multi-zone climate control, and three-drive mode selection. It has an SUV Coupe design, LED headlamps and taillights, sporty front and rear bumpers, larger mag wheels and a dual-tone dashboard. However, the USP of this car is its crossover design and the reliability and reputation of the Mahindra brand give it an edge over most other competitors in the market.

The base model is expected to be priced between 17-20 lacs and the top model is expected to be launched around 20-23 lacs. The Mahindra XUV Aero would be competing against the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Terrano, Toyota Fortuner and the Skoda Yeti.

Mahindra XUV Aero PRO’s & CON’s

  • Things We Like
  • Things we don’t like

A major advantage for the XUV Aero is the fact that it is being launched by a very reliable and reputed brand, Mahindra.

Also, having the first indigenous crossover design gives it an edge over other competitors. BMW and Mercedes also have SUV Coupes in their product line, but their pricing puts them in the luxury segment.

The pricing of the Mahindra XUV Aero at 20-23 lacs (approximately) makes it a more tempting and affordable option for the Indian market.

Despite being the most expensive Mahindra car, it is not the most expensive SUV Coupe on the road. The Hyundai Tucson is priced at INR 27-30 lacs for the top model, while the Toyota Fortuner’s top model is priced at INR 44 lacs.

The XUV Aero comes equipped with dual airbags for the front and side and curtain airbags for effective protection against frontal and side-impact collisions, which is a feature found in the Hyundai Tucson too.

The crossover coupe design and styling of the Mahindra XUV Aero may not appeal to everyone.

Also, its length may be slightly smaller than the conventional XUV. But because it hasn’t been launched yet, it isn’t easy to compare it to other car models in the same segment.

The Mahindra XUV Aero is a car whose launch is eagerly awaited. The design of the XUV Aero is based on the medium-sized SUV but with a coupe-style crossover design. The sharp bonnet design and the sporty side profile make it a very appealing vehicle. It has a 2-door design and sharp and clear design features with aerodynamic styling. It has two-row seats and will be loaded with the best upholstery and top-notch equipment. The rear of the car is different from the XUV 500 and is much sleeker in design, which goes with the XUV Coupe look.

The Mahindra XUV Aero also features the latest communication and connectivity systems. It has multi-zone climate control and onboard vehicle system functions. The versatile boot space with foldable second-row seats makes the Mahindra XUV Aero ideal for long-distance trips. All these and more make the Mahindra XUV Aero a very desirable vehicle.

Expected to be priced higher than the XUV500, this car will still find many takers because it offers a wide range of features at a very affordable price as compared to other cars in this segment. The Mahindra XUV Aero will find buyers in those who want to buy an SUV but do not want to spend a bomb. Most other SUVs in this segment are priced at a much higher amount. Mahindra’s crossover-coupe style SUV is an affordable vehicle with comparable features and facilities, so it seems like a good buy.
