Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain summary

Mercedes-Benz’s E-Class model is not a recent introduction to the German car manufacturer’s gigantic portfolio of luxury cars. It has been in the making since the end of World War II. However, in the beginning, it was known as the W-series and not the E-Class it is known as today. The aim behind the E-Class models was to provide an overall experience to the customers with comfortable space and stylish designs. It was in 1984 that the W-series was christened as the new E-Class model. That model also became the first one to feature Mercedes’s own 4Matic AWD system. Coincidentally, this W124 E-Class model was also the first-ever car by Mercedes-Benz officially sold in India in 1995.

The E-Class model has five generations up to this date. The All-Terrain model is part of this 5th generation. It was launched at an Auto Expo in September 2018. However, due to low demand and limited sales, the company soon decided to discontinue its production and now it is entirely out of stock. The last recorded price of the model was approximately around Rs. 75 Lakh, ex-showroom price. A new facelift of the fifth generation was launched in 2021 and is available for purchase.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain EXPERT REVIEWS

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain model has been tested and reviewed by a number of auto experts. The German car manufacturer has outdone itself this time by creating a station waggon that comes with a BS6 compliance engine. The regular E-Class sedans have a BS4 compliance engine. So this makes it a better choice. Since this particular model comes with air suspension technology, it can raise the height of the wheels on dirt roads and that is very useful if you are an adventurer who likes to travel and explore a lot. The Steering wheel of the vehicle is very smooth and quick. It also provides a nice pull from right to low down. The interior of the vehicle is very much similar to the regular sedans and has no digital dials.

Even though it has air suspension technology and 19-inch alloy wheels, it does feel a bit jittery at times at low speed. It competed with the Volvo V90 Cross Country which has a better grip and stability in terms of wheels. It also provides more torque power than the All-Terrain model. This model is very much specific and suitable for people who like to own lifestyle vehicles. It is generally not preferred by the common man as it is highly expensive than Volvo V90 Cross Country model and does not feel very different from the E-Class sedans.

However, it has really comfortable back seats and advanced safety systems. It is also one of the best all-around cars available in the overall portfolio of Mercedes-Benz. It is loaded with the latest innovations in customer experience and is a fine choice for a family car.
