When I began the search for my new car, I was narrowed in towards Seltos. It was March 2021, and the current facelift of Seltos was months away. And then Hyundai announced its next gen Verna, and I was blown away. The renders looked too futuristic to be true, and I told myself, if all the cuts and creases of the production variant look like this, I will buy it. And that's how I ended up buying Verna 2023 facelift, SX(O) variant. Hyundai has done an excellent job at converting renders to actual production vehicle. Here are 5 things I love about the car: 1. Feature loaded: The top end is loaded with all the features one can think of- 10+ inch infotainment screen, ambient lighting, electronically adjustable seats, ventilated seats, sunroof, Bose speaker setup and what not. 2. ADAS level 2: The ADAS features of the car work perfectly. The feature comes in extremely handy when you are on a highway, which has marked lanes 3. Comfort: Verna is one of the most comfortable cars in the mass market segment, under 20 lac. Be it the front seats, the back seats, armrest, ride quality, cabin noise levels, AC, spacious seating, all result in a very very comfortable ride 4. Exterior Looks: Well Verna 2023 gets polarising reviews about the front looks. I of-course love how futuristic and low to the ground it looks from the front. The back look Verna that has won hearts of everyone, so no issues there. 5. Safety: With all the ADAS features, 6 airbags and other safety features, Verna got a 5 star rating in crash test, which is just an icing on the cake, the entire package that is very well put together. Overall, I have had a great experience over the last 2 years with Verna 2023 facelift, and its an easy recommendation from my end. Sharing some pics from the delivery day at the dealership :)
I bought Hyundai Verna SX(O) Turbo Manual recently, it represents a rare and balanced blend of performance, practicality, features, and design in a market that's increasingly leaning towards SUVs and automatics. The Verna Turbo stands out in a sea of crossovers due to its enthusiast-focused character a powerful 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine producing 160 PS, mated to a slick 6-speed manual gearbox. In an era where manuals are fading, this car is a breath of fresh air for driving purists who still enjoy the mechanical connection with the car. I would have loved it even more if we could completely turn traction control off.
The Hyundai Verna is a stellar choice in the sedan market. Its sleek design immediately grabs attention, while the comfortable interior impresses with quality materials and modern technology. The smooth ride and responsive handling make every drive enjoyable. Fuel efficiency is a standout feature, saving you money at the pump. Overall, the Hyundai Verna delivers a winning combination of style, comfort, and performance.
Owning my car has been a smooth and rewarding experience. It's reliable, fuel-efficient, and handles both city traffic and highway drives with ease. The interior is comfortable and user-friendly, making long trips enjoyable. Maintenance has been minimal, and the performance remains consistent over time. I appreciate the safety features and the solid build quality that provide peace of mind. The car’s design still feels modern, and it gets decent mileage even after years of use. Overall, it has proven to be a trustworthy companion, offering great value for money and fulfilling all my everyday commuting needs reliably
In the dying market of sedans in India Verna is a power packed sedan with 160 ps turbo petrol engine and its a beast in terms of performance and handling...still love for sedans and Verna is a great car!
The car is praised for its powerful engine, appealing design, and advanced technology features, including helpful ADAS for highway driving. Users appreciate its competitive pricing, suggesting it offers great value. However, concerns about safety remain, and some find the common white color unattractive. The steering feel has been criticized, and there's skepticism regarding the performance of the non-turbo variant.
