MG Motor India’s Windsor EV Pro received over 15,000 bookings within a day of launch, reinforcing its popularity in the electric vehicle market.
Priced at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 8,000 buyers, the Windsor EV Pro costs Rs 1.35 lakh more than the standard Essence variant. With Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), it’s available at Rs 12.49 lakh plus Rs 4.5/km.
The Windsor EV Pro comes with a 52.9kWh prismatic-cell battery, offering a claimed MIDC range of 449 km and an estimated real-world range of 390–420 km, making it more suited for extended use than the standard version.
Over the Essence trim, the Pro adds Level-2 ADAS (adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning), a powered tailgate, and V2V/V2L tech. It also features a premium dual-tone interior while retaining amenities of the standard Windsor.
Offered as a fully-loaded single variant, the Windsor EV Pro targets premium compact EV rivals such as the Tata Curvv EV, BYD Atto 3, and Hyundai Creta Electric.
