Audi India has teased the upcoming Q8 facelift, with a launch set to take place on August 22. As part of its midlife update, the Q8 gets minor tweaks to its design and is expected to introduce some new features.
Resembling the outgoing version, the Q8 facelift will offer new upholstery and colour options. We expect the car to pack twin MMI touchscreens, a head-up display, four-zone climate control, powered front seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a powered tailgate.
In terms of safety, Audi could equip the upcoming model with ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, multiple airbags, and ADAS tech.
The design changes to the Audi Q8 are subtle; the front grille features new inserts, flanked by revised LED headlights with updated DRL signatures and a modified rear bumper.
The Indian version of the Audi Q8 is expected to feature a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol V6 engine combined with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This setup is capable of producing 335 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque.
The current Audi Q8 retails between Rs 1.07 crore and Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom, India), and the updated model is expected to see a marginal price increase. The Q8 facelift will rival conventional SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
