The Kia Carens Clavis is offered in seven main variants – HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, and HTX+. It carries forward the same chassis and basic mechanical setup as the older Carens. Deliveries for this model have now officially begun in India.
The Kia Clavis comes packed with features like dual 12.25-inch HD screens (infotainment and digital cluster), 64-colour ambient lighting, powered driver’s seat, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats and 8-speaker sound.
The Kia Clavis is offered with three engine options. The 1.5-litre N/A petrol comes with a 6-speed manual. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol can be paired with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, or a 7-speed DCT. The diesel version, a 1.5-litre unit, is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
As per ARAI, the Kia Clavis petrol variant offers a mileage of 15.34 kmpl. The turbo-petrol version with manual and iMT gearboxes has a claimed mileage of 15.95 kmpl, while the automatic version delivers 16.66 kmpl. The diesel variant gives 19.54 kmpl with the manual and 17.50 kmpl with the automatic gearbox.
The Kia Carens Clavis is priced from Rs 11.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
