The facelifted Thar gets a new front design with a slot-like grille inspired by the Thar Roxx. Though heavily camouflaged, it’s expected to feature circular LED headlights, LED fog lights, redesigned bumpers, new 18-inch alloy wheels, and updated LED tail lamps.
Inside, the Thar receives a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It may get automatic climate control, a new steering wheel seen in other Mahindra SUVs, leatherette upholstery, and a wireless phone charger.
The engine lineup remains unchanged. It will continue with the 1.5L diesel (RWD, manual), 2.2L diesel (4WD, manual/automatic), and 2.0L turbo-petrol (RWD or 4WD, manual/automatic).
The facelift borrows key styling elements from the Thar Roxx, such as the grille and lighting. Interior touches like the new steering wheel also reflect this influence, giving the SUV a more modern look.
With test mules on the road, the Thar facelift is likely to debut around the 2025 festive season, possibly in late Q3 or early Q4.
